Guapo's Restaurant reviews
15 The steak and eggs were delishious. 5 star service -staff was attentive, efficient, and
always smiling.
As far as Tex-mex in DC goes, Guapos is pretty good. This location is definitely more Americanized in terms of the music, decor, and menu compared to the Gaithersburg and Bethesda locations, which is understandable considering the demographic leans pretty heavily white in Georgetown. The food is good, just not as authentic as the locations mentioned above. The menu is much more simplified at this location, probably about half that of the Maryland locations.
Service is quick here (chips, water, meals) but it was difficult to flag down a server when I needed a water refill.
Delicious steak tacos and the margaritas are pretty damn good too! Sit outside once the sun sets for fire pit vibes at the table.
Ordered delivery, but Guapo's told the delivery driver that it was closed and my order was canceled. I checked online and Guapo's wasn't closed.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Georgetown water front area. Great food for reasonable price.
Geheimtipp!
Jeder sollte mal da gegessen haben wenn man Washington d.c. Besucht!
Secret tip!
Everyone should eat in this Restaurant, when you visit Washington D. C!
Extraordinary TexMex food. The kind you crave. The mimosas and micheladas were classic and hit the spot. Chilequiles were some of the best I’ve had in a long time! We’ll be back!
Great little place we found while Visiting DC. Food seamed to be more Peruvian style its advertised as TexMex and I found it under mexican food.but all in all a great experience
I have been to other Guapo's restaurants, but food on this one does not seem to be same as the others. I ordered a chicken burrito for almost $15 and it only came with a side sauce and bunch of rice in the burrito.
Fantastic lunch and good service, even for our large party. Tacos were delicious. There's currently a nice skating rink outside, which makes for a good view.
Ceviche Supreme is fantastic. The salsa is extremely salty so are the entrées. Margherita are spot on delicious
Guapo's food and customer service was excellent as usual. I have enjoyed their food since 1994 while working at WAMU Radio at American University. The food and customer service are still excellent
We went for dinner with a large group. We tried different kinds of Mexican food and drank cocktails with many different flavor options. Besides, we ordered shrimp and squid. I admit it's an expensive restaurant, but it's definitely worth it. Food is delicious, cocktails are pretty good. Atmosphere isn't bad. If you like Mexican food, you should at least give this place a chance.
I took my son for his 1st Guapos experience. I usually go to the one in Shirlington but I chose Georgetown. The hostess was very attentive. She demonstrated patience, to all the adjustments that I requested. So our to go order turned into sit in. The chips were fresh and the food was delicious as usual.
Very good burrito for lunch. In the back corner they have a tortilla machine which was cool to watch.
