Excellent haircuts every time. I’ve been doing here for years and have never been disappointed.

They have their COVID protocols down. One person at a time, mandatory mask, mandatory gloves, appointment only. They also gave me a really great hair cut after months of neglect, highly highly recommend.

I recently moved to DC and had been searching for a stylist who was used to giving first-time haircuts to people. H St. Hair had lots of great reviews, so I booked. Tina did a great job with my hair! I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she cut it beautifully. They are taking COVID seriously, and everyone must wear a mask and gloves. This is one of the best deals I’ve gotten — and I’m so pleased with the outcome. I’ll definitely be back!

Tina is very skilled and did a great job with my hair. My only complaint is that I was charged $35 even though the price online was $25. Still a great value regardless.

Had a bad hair cut and Sammy fixed it for me! I had gone to a different salon, asked for layers, and the girl did layers on only one side. But I couldn't tell until I left and straightened my hair later, since she blow dried my hair to be curly. Thankfully a friend recommended Sammy, and now my hair is 1000000x better. Sammy made sure to even everything out as best as she could, and then immediately double checked my hair to make sure it was even on all sides.

I went in for a trim and the guy gave me a completely new haircut. He layered in way that makes my hair extremely thin and gave me bangs without even asking! Will not be going back.

Racially profiled.was told they don't have experience with "African American hair" and my hair is curly and fine /wavy texture

Some of the best haircuts I have received - certainly THE best i’ve seen in DC at their price point. Highly recommend for men who don’t want to spend a lot but want something better than the cheap chains.

Affordable, fast, and accommodating staff. Walk-ins accepted and you can pay for your tip on a card. I showed the stylist a picture, asked for a low skin fade, and told her to cut less than 1/2 inch on top. She did exactly what I asked for. Ask for Ivy.

The stylists were amazing with my toddler who has been on a haircut strike, And we left with a great cut!

Generally reasonable wait time, and will also schedule appointments if you have a tight timeline.

Despite having a functional link to make appointments online, I was informed that they don't keep appointments on weekends. I got a confirmation email this morning, but when I showed up at the scheduled time they told me to wait behind 4 other people and two parents with children to get a haircut. I left.

I’ve found my new regular barber. The staff are all attentive and professional, the shop itself is neat and new, and my cut was top-notch.

I had my hair cut by Sammy, who was excellent in her attention to detail. I felt like I could trust her every intuition, though she was careful to ask at each stage what exactly I wanted.

Surprisingly quite affordable too — cut and wash is $35.

To top it all off, they take credit card — a first for me.

Unequivocally recommend. Particularly recommend for asian men with thicker hair who have difficulty at other barbers.

I took my kids (8 and 10) for a hair cut and they were great with both of them! I ended up having a haircut for myself. Affordable prices and great hair cuts for all.
