Hamilton's Bar & Grill reviews
22Delicious but small chicken wings and lots of cheese fried cheese curds which were very good as well. Definitely would recommend this to anyone visiting DC.
As Wisconsinites, we can say this was a pleasant surprise to find in the heart of DC. Friendly, helpful staff and a refreshing Wisconsin atmosphere. Food was excellent and service was quick. Wisconsin cheese curds were great! Felt like we were back home.
We came to chill! Order some food and drinks.it was good experience! I like it! Will came again for sure! Very friendly and nice stuff! Thank you!
There truly is no place in DC like Hamilton’s. The staff are welcoming, the food and drinks are great, and the owners immensely care for every single patron that walks in. I have yet to find another bar in DC that I would rather be at than Hamilton’s! I wish I could give it 6 stars instead of 5, and I can’t imagine my weekends without Hamilton’s. Long live Hams!
Hamilton’s, in short, is nothing short of home. When I walk into Hamilton’s front doors, I feel instant relief. Steve gives us a welcoming hello and feeds us buckets of beer to no end. This place is electric. The food is on par with what my mother makes in terms of comfort and we are grateful this place gives us a chance to rewind, in spite of COVID-19. If you don’t like this place, you are a square and likely have bad vibes #VivaLasHams
This place is my ancestral homeland. Hamilton’s has carried myself and my friends through this COVID-19 pandemic. This wonderful purveyor of delicious refreshments never fails to provide a space for good friends to meet and drink. Service and ownership is fantastic, and if you’re upset about them enforcing COVOD protocols then you try running a business jackass.
Won’t be coming back again. Bartenders more focused on Covid protocols than service and no warnings. Not the same.
This is a place where yes DOL employees get lunch with a drink mixed in.
But this is a hidden little spot. Especially for afternoon cocktails. It's very chill they easy on the price and all of the employees are friendly and funny.
Especially had them on all day Friday for their dollar high life. My favorite. Ha
But great lunch/dinner food too.
The bartender girl, was really rude with us, she was just not having attitude to serve us just because we show her foreign ID’s, we left the place instantly.
The bartender/waiter was very bad. She did not acknowledge our existence and was very rude. The burgers were overcooked and she never came around to refill our water or ask if we wanted additional drinks. Her facial expressions were of contempt, despair, and sadness. Atrocious service!
Good drink specials. Some staff provide better service than others. Cheese curds and beer; that's what Hamilton's does!
We're still not sure if this is a seat yourself place. The service was a little slow and odd. The bartender was the only wait staff in the place, and he was definitely trying to make everyone happy which was good. The food came really fast but we almost finished eating when we got our drinks.
Great place close to Capitol! We were a family of 7 with two toddlers and everyone had a great experience! Staff was very friendly, even printing out more activity pages for the kids! Burgers were huge and all the sides were delicious! An excellent hole-in-the-wall for those wanting something different.
Good dive bar that’s a quick walk from The Hill. If you’re going on a Friday, I would suggest getting there before 5 as The Hill crowd moves in pretty quickly after work.
This is a nice little bar. My coworkers and I went for happy hour. I also ordered a sandwich which was quite good. It had been years since I have been here and from my memory, the food is much better than it used to be.
Guy behind the bar didn’t seem like he wanted to be helping us at all. Drinks were pretty strong though. Had a patty melt with tots and it was pretty good. I’d say it’s on the cusp of wanting to be a dive bar, but isn’t quite that.
Stopped into Hamilton's Bar and Grill for a couple drinks on a hot day. Staff took a while to bring drinks and bring the check. The drink was reasonably priced, but was in a very small glass and tasted extremely watered down. A bit disappointed with the experience.
Perfect place to stop for happy hour when you are at the capitol. Frozes are perfect for this July heat. Boys say the beer selection is good too.
Went here with a buddy, food tasted good and was affordable for this part of the city. They lost my friend's ticket and we were stuck waiting for 45 minutes for a turkey sandwich and fries.
A classic Packers bar in DC! Good food and great to find a little slice of home when traveling.
