Hanger Clinic: Prosthetics & Orthotics, Washington DC

I had a orthopedic shoe insert made by Hanger clinic in Fort Totten, Washington DC. The location is great but the service was a bit disappointing. Although, I was told the insert has a 10 year warranty, I find out the warranty was only 90 days. Moreover, the staff made it appear that the insert was covered by insurance, but it turned out it wasn’t. I had to pay full amount out of pocket! Lastly, when I asked for adjustment to be made to the insert, which was too narrow at the hills, I was told to get a referral from my PCP and had to pay for it again. I found this clinic practice subpar and unprofessional, only driven by avarice!

Cancel appointment the day of because orthopedic hasn’t arrived. Have not been updated

This NE DC Clinic has taken three months to fit and insert orthotics. They are unable to get the right size. Or they cancel appointments on the day of the appointment or they don’t have the materials. Or they don’t have the shoes. Husband has had back Surgery and he is driving back-and-forth and still no inserts or shoes for three months. Unacceptable.

Great people to work with very professional answered all my questions they even give you water and snacks while you wait

Very good location, conveniently located at
Red Line Fort Totten Metro Station.
As you walk out from the metro station it's right in front of the building.
If you are coming in the car meter parking is available outside.

Good customer service, but area stinks very bad outside.

I was on vacation in Washington DC, and had an unfortunate mishap with the hinge on one of my KFOs. A search for places for an emergency fix, brought up this Hanger location.
They were very accommodating with my issue, and were willing to help me on the same day I called them. The front desk staff were quick with checking me in, and Ben, the orthotist who helped me, was very efficient and kind with his work.
I sincerely appreciate the compassion from this clinic!
