Harry's Restaurant, Washington DC

Modest food, modest prices, warm atmosphere. The place might be a little dilapidated, but the staff was as nice as could be. I would absolutely get breakfast or lunch here again and again.

Had a good lunch at Harry's.
I will be honest while visiting the D. C.area I wasn't impressed with the food we had. But, we had lunch at Harry's and it was very good!
We just shared a salad, a club sandwich, and a basket of tator-tots. It was a huge club! It was so good!
The service was good, the food was great and the price was right.
I recommend a visit.

The potatoes were absolutely fantastic, but the vegetables had absolutely no seasoning or butter, completely nothing. The fries and the pork chop were quite good, though.

The water tasted moldy, I didn’t drink it. I’m guessing they haven’t cleaned the ice machine in a while or something.

Had carry out this evening and I couldn’t even finish the meal. I ordered pork chops and they were undercooked and unseasoned. The baked potatoe was cold and the veggies were very bland. Wasn’t pleased at all with this meal.

My wife and I spent an evening at Harry's, staying at the Hotel Harrington. Matthew was our bartender and he is, without question, the best bartender we've had. Fun, easy going atmosphere, and Matthew was so entertaining and engaging. Next time we are in DC, we are headed straight for Harry's and hope he's working. Give him a raise!

Try this gem before it is gone! Highly recommend the Lobster Roll. The food was simple, but delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

The hotel's age really shines through in their timeless commitment to frozen cuisine – a true testament to preservation. But hey, at least they're open until midnight.

Harry's definitely isn't a top-tier eating establishment, but it's good nonetheless. They give you popcorn before your meal, which is a little weird but also fun. The food is typical, about what you'd expect from an average American restaurant.

Delicious burgers and very economical for being in the center of Washington DC. Very good option to stop for something to eat while visiting the city.

Only a 5 stars for what it's worth: a dive bar. If you want an eclectic alcoholic infused facility with gluttonous food options & a lively 80s infused music culture - this is your spot. I tried the chili. It was large, filled with cheese, onions, & jalapenos. It was served with plentiful crackers & sour cream. The hearty meal didn't disappoint. Bartenders had character. Perfect option to sober up while drinking.

Never again! This was at least the 3rd time I was treated poorly by this dive. 1st off, nobody writes anything down, so they keep getting the order wrong. AND, I had to keep sending the burger back to be cooked further (per my original request), and they brought back a new burger within a few short minutes and they were STILL undercooked. Also, I asked for fries, no chips. They brought chips anyway. They came back 3 minutes or so later with a basket of cardboard hard fries. Obviously somebody elses rejects! I rejected their 3rd burger and won't be back! Still hungry as I write this, FYI.

We sat on the outside patio and enjoyed the city scene. Our waiter was great. We got reuben sandwiches and they were awesome. Can't comment on other options. But you get what you pay for.

Service was pretty good. We ordered fries instead of the chips that came with our food, but got chips anyway. The waitress was awesome and made sure to take the extra charge back off. We like potatoes either way. Lol! Food was ok. The burgers were big. The ladies room was small. The restaurant is pretty nice inside and big. The only problem was the bathroom was pretty dirty going in because someone got sick in the trash and missed. I did alert the staff. I would say that the place from the bar was not very handicap accessible and the restroom definitely isn't. There are small steps going down in the bar and the restroom is too small/narrow with no handicap stall. We aren't handicap, but have friends who are snd I tend to notice these things. It's a nice spot. First time to DC.

Lunch. 9-21. Truly a dive. In the best sort of way. Covered sidewalk dining which we did. Rueben sandwich was an A+. Turkey club was an A. Service was spotty but there. Menu had a decent variety. Great experience outside. Not for the "pinkies up" crowd.

Never been to dc stopped in for a beer. Richard was amazing. Service and stories around the town the perfect dive bar experience

One of the very best OG dive bars in the DMV. I was instantly transported back to better times, and the bartender Justin was just as friendly (and fast) as OG bartenders are. Cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburger were good - not complicated - and they didn’t need a safe space.

There are definitely better options for your money. If you want a meal you will be full from but thinking it is something you could make at home after you get the check, stop by here. Bathroom were very unpleasant.

Have you ever wanted to see a Proud Boy in real life? Stop in on Thursdays and meet one for yourself! Harry’s is a historic monument in DC, as it’s known for not only being the only place open after the curfew was placed on jan6, but they are famous for having gotten the Proud Boys good and drunk after they insurrected the Capitol.
Oh, it’s absolutely filthy here and there’s roaches everywhere. Hurry now before the Hotel sells and the rented bar has to leave town.
