Holiday Inn Washington-Central/White House, an IHG Hotel

Great location (15 mins walk to White house, monument, Lincoln Memorial etc). Excellent rooftop pool with lifeguard. Rooms were clean with good space. Johnny Rockets on side offers a buffet breakfast or a la carte (additional $$)

Hotel very well located to discover WDC!
A small fridge + a microwave oven + a coffee and tea machine (with 6 capsules, sugars available each morning.)
Small downside: the maid who came knocking in the morning between 8: 30 and 9: 00 if we forgot the "do not disturb" sign!
A dinner's restaurant is located within the hotel at very competitive prices (burgers and salads). Possibility to also take the breakfasts à la carte or buffet (not tested but it seems to me that the price announced on our arrival was $16)

As a multi generational family vacation we chose this hotel. The staff was very helpful and having the Johnny Rockets restaurant available was very convenient. The rooms are nice, no you don’t see the gorgeous DC skyline, but it still is a pretty city skyline. My kids enjoyed the chilly rooftop pool, but on the hot Summer DC days, it felt great! The hotel room bathrooms are smaller, but we made it all work and had plenty of space. The pullout couch was plush compared to other pullout couches we’ve had at other hotels. The last bonus was the laundry room was free to use! We really enjoyed the staff and hotel amenities while we were in DC and recommend it!

I want to advise that the breakfast buffet was AWESOME, the gentleman "Tai'Shawn" was great with greeting me, customer service skills and keeping the buffet clean and fresh. He really made it comfortable surrounding. I appreciate him and his hard work. Thank you Tai'Shawn GREAT JOB!

Large and clean room, great location for walking to parks and museums, attentive staff, breakfast without variety and heavy, an ok day but not all healthy. Better to book without coffee and go to Whole Foods and stock the minibar!

Young Man Name Tai’Shawn Was Outstanding, And Very Helpful When It Came To The Breakfast Buffet. Even though he was busy, making sure everything looked good in full for breakfast. He still took the time to help me out, and I greatly appreciate that.

I loved this hotel, excellent location, good price and parking facilities, as well as having a Johnny Rocket restaurant on the 1st level.

The best thing, without a doubt, is the location. 30 minute walk to the white house or $11 Uber from the National Archives, $12 Uber from the train station.
Old or poorly maintained. The bathtub (yes, it has a bathtub) has huge chips. A sign that it is very old. The edges of the sink with the Vaseline already deteriorated. The door handle literally fell to the floor. Etc. I don't put more because I've only been here for a day.
Breakfast, included if you are over 14 years old, is a buffet BUT don't expect what you can find as a reference in Spain. It is very limited in terms of supply. You come across things (I understand that they may be local customs) that do not offer (or give) you hot milk. Or find an orange already half rotten in the fruit bowl. They are $17, which at the prices that you can have breakfast outside, may still be worth having breakfast at the hotel.
One good thing is that it has a washer and dryer on the top floor. They offer you soap for $1.25. It more than compensates. It is very popular when you come from days ago with the need to have clean clothes.
The room, in terms of size, as usual in the spacious Holiday Inn standard.
As for the attention of the staff, the truth is that we can say that it is good, pleasant and willing to lend a hand.

Hotel is centrally located in Washington DC near important historic sites, restaurants and shopping.
It is a standard holiday inn room and its restaurant Is a Johnny rocket for those who like classic american food.

Great location - close to White House and in a nice neighborhood. I ran each morning at 7 and felt very safe in the surrounding areas. Small, but clean and comfortable room. The bed, pillows, etc.were great. The cleaning staff did a great job each day and the front desk staff were always smiling and helpful. Breakfast (Johnny Rockets) was included and was better than most Holiday Inns since there were hot items available. They had a couple of times that service was slower due to lack of staff (common problem most retail places). Great experience overall.

The room furnishings are very worn and in need of renovation. The window does not open and you are greeted by a smell that needs getting used to. The loud air conditioning is very annoying, especially at night. The breakfast can be skipped, because especially hygiene does not play a big role. The only advantage of the hotel is the central location.

Loved our weekend stay at this hotel! First things first, they offer mini cribs for your little ones. I searched around to find a hotel that had something other than a pack n play and this one does-hopefully this can help another young family! Our baby slept great!

The Parking was convenient even though it was in a tight alleyway. You can go directly from your car to your room via elevator which was nice.

The room was clean, the bed was comfy and the location is great-such a fun neighborhood with so many restaurants. We will definitely stay here again!

Hotel management was courteous and helpful to accommodate a guest with limited mobility. Room beds were high for her. Shoutout to the engineer AJ! He helped us with a rollover mattress very diligently which were of perfect height.
