Hot N Juicy Crawfish, Washington DC

I came here with 3 friends for our first time trying crawfish. The food was delicious and the portion sizing was respectable.

The staff is very kind and friendly. They remembered our names throughout the 2 hours we were there, which added a loving feeling.

The seafood bags come with a variety of seasoning and spice options - even if you can’t handle a lot of spice, you can still have a well seasoned meal.

Overall, I recommend this place and my friends and I plan to come back sometime after the holidays:)

Dropped into this place leaving the zoo. Hostess/server was nice and seated us promptly. Restaurant was clean. Ordered etoufee and crawfish poboy. Food was great!

I had a horrible experience in this restaurant. I made a reservation a week and a half in advance and then called the day of to confirm. I was told everything was set and we would be well taken care of. My entire party arrived on time and had to wait almost an hour to sit together, (I can't make this up, initially, they tried to sit a portion of our party on the other end of the restaurant) when more room became available they just pointed us in the direction of a bunch of tables. We had to push them together ourselves. My reservation was at 7: 45pm they didn't start taking our orders until after 9pm and then informed us that everything except the rice had pork in it. I drove over 4 hrs, I had other people driving from farther for my birthday dinner. They werent apologetic, they didn't handle our reservation right, we were not treated right at all. They knew it was my birthday party, they didn't offer any slice of desert, anything. They were rude, ignored us and everyone went home with an empty stomach after waiting there for almost 2 hours.

Sorry. I’ve been coming here since day one. I just don’t remember a pound of snow crabs costing $50 bucks. Especially when it’s only $25 bucks from there competitors.
I won’t be back

The service is really great, the place is as well but a bit smaller inside a restaurant than what I'm used to.

We no longer have a H&J in NY so when I came across it in DC I just had to check it out. And let me reassure you, its was DELICIOUS. Will be back soon for my black mussels fix!

Had the crayfish po' boy with Cajun fries. Very nice. Our waitress was very cheerful. Good location near subway and zoo.

THIS RESTAURANT IS NOT AUTHENTIC TO SOUTHERN CREOLE CAJUN FOOD. JUST USES CREOLE SEASONING IF ASKED. THE RESTAURANT IS OWNED BY NON CREOLE PEOPLE. VERY NICELY DESIGNED. VERY SPACEY. PORTIONS ARE SMALL AND LOADED WITH CONDIMENTS. NICE SAUCE. HAD TO ASK FOR NAPKINS AND THE RESTAURANT HELP YOU EAT. WEIRD EXPERIENCE.

Went here this past weekend and enjoyed everything about it! I'm from NYC and was visiting and we decided to stop by. We went around 930p 10p on a Saturday night at there was a small wait. We waited about 30mins, which wasn't bad because we waited at a bar nearby. Once we were seated the waitress that came to our table was super nice and let me know that they do offer EGGSSSS! Which my friends didn't know that was even an option. We had the snow crab legs, Clams, Shrimps and we each got an Egg, Corn on the Cob and I got a potato. We chose the Hot and Juicy which is pretty spicy to me with the mild If you want spice but not too crazy or hot but tolerable. We also got the garlic butter and I preferred the Hot and Juicy flavor over the Garlic. We shared pounds of food and with tip n all I would say we paid about 55 to 60 each with a couple drinks each. We were the last ones to leave the restaurant, but didn't feel rushed when eating and catching up. I would highly recommend this place, I will say my eyes were bigger than my stomach we definitely ordered more than needed but it was worth it! I wish I remembered the name of our server bc she was amazing! 1st time but won't be the last!

Best seafood seasoning I have ever had. The crawfish could be bigger. The seasoning never gets old. The last time I came and sat down to eat the waitress was very friendly and professional. I recommend this restaurant to all seafood lovers.

Always a hit for seafood and flavors. Only things lacking was service and attendance of the server. For around 4pm not being so busy, things could have been a quicker and smooth experience. Nonetheless, still a perfect seafood spot.

I went there with a friend. We payed $55 for crabs to go and it was less than one whole crab and two potatoes in the bag.

I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. The customers and servers seem to be enjoying themselves. I ordered "Get ya feet wet" and added Lemon Drop cocktail. They were very generous with everything. I would take away a star because of wait times, it seems that no one stands at the front counter because they are working hard to keep seated customers happy, which is not a bad thing.

The shrimp was very dirty, the corn was OLD! I will NOT eat here ever again! A pound of snow crab legs is $50.a pound is 1 cluster smdh!

I have never given a one star. Would never choose this location again. Thao was rude on the phone. Rude when I got to the resturant. It doesn't take 35 minutes to fix a catfish sandwich. I called to do a to go order, she rudely stated that I have to do on a website I was like maam I'm 20 min away and I'm driving can you make exception, she was like nope and hung up.the reason why continued to order it was for son. A lady did a walk-in order and had her order before me. 40-min for a catfish order

The seafood here is pretty amazing, but the Crawfish is out of this world delicious. You should check this place out when you can.

I used to go here all the time in 2014/2015 I seem to never be able to gauge the spicy levels. The only negative I have is how the food came out. Everything came out in separate bags and my dates food was the last thing to come out
