Hyatt Regency Washington On Capitol Hill reviews
15I visited here for a conference as a speaker. Scary part of town, expensive rooms. I felt safe inside but not so much when you walk away. Open drug deals, soup kitchen and many homeless just around the block.
Short staffed, the food was indifferent, no room service, the room wasn't taken care of during a 2 night stay.do better, Hyatt.
An excellent stay at this hotel. Every part of the process of staying overnight was absolutely perfect.
Great service from staff. Wheelchair accessible room was VERY tight for a power wheelchair. Accessible tub was missing the bench. Sink faucet and knobs were too far back and too high making them inaccessible.
Celebrating my birthday in DC was an absolutely Amazing experience because of the staff here at the Hyatt. Giving me a card with staff signatures and vouchers for breakfast felt as if I were celebrating with family. I would definitely recommend this hotel based on the service alone. The hotel room, the corner king bed room, was spacious and nicely furnished and cool (I love being able to control the temp in the room) overall our experience was amazing.
THIS IS NOT A 4-star hotel, it’s hideous. They need a total renovation inside and out. The staff was friendly and ample amount of street parking but that’s the nicest thing I could possibly say. The decor is dated with chipped paint and dents everywhere you turn. Inspecting the mattress I found many hairs (I couldn’t sleep on it) the tub was dirty with imprints of the bath mat. I took a shower and when I looked up there was a vent next to the shower head with about 6 years worth of dust. I ended up sleeping at a friends house it was that bad.
You have to stop in either on your way to or from Union station to regroup or whatever grab a bite to eat you will love the lobby in the seating areaYou need to stop inThis place is beautiful
I loved my room. The staff were amazing and well organized. Whenever I come back this is where I'll stay.
Friendly service. Convenient to local sights. Clean relatively quiet rooms. I would definitely stay here again.
It was horrible workers were rude place was clean that y the one star but it was way to expensive.n no free parking or breakfast a small coffee was over $ 3.50 I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
I came here for a function. The hotel and amenities were nice. I didn't give it 5 stars because the car valets were rude and disrespectful. I tried to give them my ticket to get my car and am told to wait and walks by me. Then he comes back and takes the tickets of 4 other people that were behind me. Waited a total of 30 minutes to get my car. Just for that reason, I'm never using this hotel for future stays.
The Hotel had excellent breakfast, rooms, and staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
Have been to many Hyatt Regency this experience was great I like how the staff catered to me. Clean spacious room bedding was made perfect. Beautiful building inside & out. Felt very safe & comfortable. If all elevators were working it could have been more convenient for the amount of guests that was there for the event I attended. Will definitely be back in DC & stay at the Hyatt Regency again.
Absolutely AWFUL! Staff acted as if they did not understand that they were in the hospitality industry.
- Room Phones not working
- Staff Passing by Trashed (Lobby) Areas for hours
- Elevator Service Outages.
- Lack of Space at Food Station Buffet Style Areas
- Buffet Food items Luke Warm or NOT HOT at all.
- ADA Staff Support NEEDS SERIOUS ATTENTION
- I will NOT be returning to this establishment.
This review is for events. As an event planner I take my event experiences seriously. I had to deal with a person who said she was the event manager. I have never dealt with such unprofessional behavior from a hotel. We host major events in Washington, DC and beyond and not only was e-mails not answered, a proper response to a request was not given. There is no wonder many people are shying away to hosting an event at this location. It is quite the shame because my company and I, could have done an amazing job. For event planners, avoid this as they do not care about being communicative, nor do they care about following up when they say they will.
