Great location, decent service, but rooms and food/drinks left much to be desired. The room had a smell from the sink drain not being cleared in a long time and the toilet had an issue filling the tank. The coffee both in the room and in the lobby was pretty awful. The NFL network on TV when selected showed the NHL channel. None of these are show stoppers, but certainly not what I expected from a 4-star hotel. Seemed rather unprofessional.

Centrally located in the Wharf with spectacular views of the Potomac River, the marina, the peers, and all the boats either moored in the marina or cruising the river. The pool on the roof offers even more views of the Washington monument and all the surroundings. The restaurant in the hotel opens limited hours with no breakfast buffet, and it's way overpriced, considering the portion size. Service is excellent with well-trained, knowledgeable staff who make an effort to improve the guest's experience. The hotel is too expensive and there are cheaper alternatives right in the Wharf. But it's hard to imagine them topping the InterContinental's experience.

It was so beautiful, the room, hotel, views! The food at the hotel restaurant was great. Best crab cake and steak I've had in a while! I would go again and recommend others. Next time, I'm going to schedule Spa services.

Booking system or management was a hurdle - had two nights booked but was checked out after the first night. Got the phone call about my bags being in the room still. They “fixed it”, but I still had to wait outside my room with room service (cleaning the room as if I’d left/I already asked a day prior for no one to enter). Doesn’t seem like there’s any fast and clear communication (no idea how hotels manage). As a guest, I’ll try somewhere else. As prestige as this place is in appearance, it obviously lacks that in their systems.

Stayed 5 nights for a vacation. Chose the Intercontinental largely for its proximity to the Anthem because we had tickets to a show. The Wharf location is excellent; a lot of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and a CVS are within a minute or two walk. The hotel itself is spectacular - upscale, immaculately clean, wonderful views from the room, a comfy bed, and a supremely friendly staff. Valet is very quick with vehicle retrieval. Elevators are fast. The rooftop bar/pool has an incredible view (and you get to watch planes take off and land at Reagan, which is fun). The main bar has a very expansive and high quality liquor collection, no shortage of top shelf bottles. I only had the wings from the kitchen, but they were tasty.

Our only “complaint” - the Wi-Fi wasn’t super fast or reliable, and AT&T had difficulty getting a consistent 5G signal to our phones, which was sometimes frustrating, but it certainly didn’t ruin anything. We would absolutely stay there again.

I've photographed 2 weddings here over the past few months and the staff from valet to banquets are top notch. This well oiled machine of personnel make it known that the elevated level of customer service is expected and enjoyed in the experience. The rooms were well appointed and updated. Loved the push button curtains and can't beat the location.

Great hotel and can’t beat the location. Nespresso machine in the room is a nice touch. No complaints.

A beautiful place located on the Wharf. Rooms are nice, clean, comfortable, luxurious and offer good views. View of the Potomac river is awesome. Meeting rooms on second floor. Rooftop pool offers the best views. Staff is courteous and efficient. Enjoyed our stay here. Being next to the Wharf, Plenty of things to do including walks early in the day and late at night. Can also enjoy a river cruise

Khristine and Anthony in Guest Relations were AMAZING! We were visiting for the Cherry Blossom Festival and they made our stay perfect! Thank you both so very much!

Setting right on The Wharf in DC, this is an ideal location to see the newest area of our capital.
Great accommodations in an exciting area.

I just came back home from a 3 nights stay at this hotel, and I just have to say that the location is next to a lot of restaurants and not far away from top attractions such as the National Mall and the National Air and Space Museum. The parking lot entrance is just across the hotel and it's $65 a day. I liked the layout of the walk-in shower that also has a detachable shower head that most hotels don't have. The rooms have no mini fridge which is one thing I really wished they had. You get a text msg every morning asking whether you want your room done. There is a restaurant in the hotel lobby that serves breakfast until 10: 30am but the service is slow and overpriced. As practically every reviewer has mentioned, almost all restaurants around here are over-priced. The one restaurant I really recommend is Hank's Oyster Bar, and I wished we had tried it sooner, but we didn't until our last night.we would've easily ate there again. You get bigger portions for your money and the service is quick and efficient with indoor and outdoor tables.

Service from start to finish was GOLDEN! Room service each morning was a legit dream! The pancakes and avocado toast took me to another planet! The space and room are beautifully maintained, and the AC was kicking good! This is a beautiful business hotel or romantic getaway. In my opinion, it's not too kid friendly.

The scenery at this place is simply breathtaking, modern, and well-maintained.

The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Jan, who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and content.

However, I noticed a woman who identified as the manager could have been more polite toward us. She insisted that we collect our food downstairs rather than allowing our Uber Eats delivery. I found this to be impolite.

Additionally, the prices at the restaurant were relatively high, and I didn't find the food particularly delicious.

Despite these minor issues, I still think this location is excellent.

Fabulous hotel in a great location, plenty to do all around the Wharf, Reception staff 5 star, polite and so very helpful. Rooms are well appointed and spotless. Pool bar is brilliant and the bar staff friendly. Breakfast in the restaurant was a let down, staff very slow and not friendly like the rest of the hotel, overall a great hotel and great staff, just eat out for breakfast.

Gorgeous hotel interior and exterior. I stayed in room 916 window view of the wharf. The rooms have a side panel that controls the room temperature, lights, and provides the weather. The room has a huge sliding mirror door and both a full tub and shower with a sliding door. The rooftop pool is breathtaking, and the wharf at night is both nostalgic and mystical. Definitely a place to consider when booking your next stay in DC, but avoid the yatch club is a draining atmosphere.
