The service was great! The food was excellent and we loved the ambiance. We were celebrating my mother's 76th birthday and they made her feel so very special.

We spent our 10th Anniversary dining here. I just had to try the famous stone crab and I must say that I wasn’t disappointed! Supreme customer service and great food.

Joe’s is a wonderful spot that left me feeling extremely happy. Great seafood, great landfood, and the desert pie selection is all delicious. Things I can confidently recommend: Madagascar shrimp appetizer, key lime pie. Two of my absolute favorites.

Also, as we were leaving, our waiter Leslie chased us outside to return the credit card we’d left with the bill. It capped off a night of great service, and the people there really go above and beyond. Definitely go to Joe’s.

This place was ok. Not over the top but just ok. First, the tables are very uncomfortable. The large, circular table base prevents sitting with your feet on a solid flat surface. This caused a great deal of annoyance. Having to shift all the time to try to get comfortable was difficult. Second, the wait staff walks by and takes things off your table without asking. Some plates they removed still had food on them so they were taking expensive food from us and throwing it away. Three people tried to take my lemons from my table and three times I had to ask them to give me back my lemons. They were perfectly good lemons, unused and not bothering anyone. Our drinks were whisked away and we were not done with them. Next, the Madagascar shrimp involved staff preparing it at your table. Because of the lemon fiasco, I didn't get to see the demo that I am sure was part of the price of the shrimp. The guy who was doing the demo came at a really bad time and didn't bother to let us know he was preparing our shrimp until he was done. Next, The lobster mac and cheese was not really that good. At least, not worth the price. I don't think we saw any lobster meat in the mac and cheese. Now for the good. Our steak and lobster was cooked to perfection and was excellent. Michael, our server was great and the bread basket was awesome. We liked the herbed flatbread. So, if we return, we will sit at the bar, not order the Madagascar shrimp or the lobster mac and cheese, and nail down our plates and drinks.

Food good. The lightning ugh or I'm getting old. The service he tried but I think they were understaffed.

The fish was fresh and a huge size. The sweet potato is so so good. Not bad.

Joe's Seafood holds a special spot in my heart, combining nostalgia, great service, and a culinary mastery that I've savored since my childhood visits to the original location in South Florida. Over the years, their offerings have been consistently delicious, making it a restaurant I'd favor even over some of my top-rated favorites. It carves a niche as an accessible and approachable fine dining experience, be it for commemorating a special event or indulging on a whim.

There are some stand-out dishes that I almost always order - hashed browns, creamed spinach, lobster mac&cheese, stone crab claws, and the porterhouse (though, the dry-aged ribeye is tremendous when its available). These are amazing dishes, and I highly recommend them. Some other dishes worth trying are the chowder, fried calamari, and the broccolini - which is surprisingly tasty.

However, my recent visits hinted at a slight variance in food quality consistency. For instance, the usually abundant calamari felt a bit small - it was about half the amount I've seen even during happy hour! Additionally, while the steak retained its rich flavor, its temperature felt a bit lukewarm - perhaps it might have waited a bit before being served. My espresso martini too, though usually a perfect endnote, tasted as if the coffee had gone a bit stale. That said, my martini and old fashioned remained, as ever, delicious.

Service at Joe's, generally impeccable, occasionally sees a dip, especially during their peak hours. Nonetheless, service is still excellent compared to many other restaurants in the area.

While the pricing leans towards the pricier side — with items like the stone crab claws demanding a good chunk of your final fill — the restaurant is worth the splurge.

This is the ONLY restaurant in DC that I will revisit. There are so many restaurants in the city that I usually don't revisit, yet Joe's is a special place. This time, I had the Madagascar shrimp and the crab roll sandwich for lunch. Everything was exquisite! The key lime aioli is sent straight from heaven. Service is always premier.

Joes is a solid choice. Our waitress was not that friendly or engaging. Pricey meal to feel that you are not getting the best service.

It's an amazing experience we had; our server did an excellent service. Seafood was delicious and fresh. We ordered grilled halibut and a mixed grill platter which was tasty. Loved the atmosphere - anyone who wants a seafood date must visit!

You can't go wrong! It's a classic steakhouse. The service is always amazing from the time you walk in the door til the time you leave out. It is one of the few places in the city that always has a bone-in filet mignon on the menu. Also, the seafood salad is just fabulous.
You must try it if you need a great steak.

So far my favorite restaurant in DC. I got the steak and my partner got crab stuffed shrimp and we have no complaints about either, so so so freaking good. My favorite part was the gluten free bread. I’ve had celiac disease for 10 years now and this was the best gluten free bread I’ve ever had. I would come back just for it. Fresh baked, perfect flavor, soft and fluffy, seriously to die for. Also plenty of gluten free desserts, I got the brownie sundae and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Only downsides are the price, parking can be difficult and it was fairly busy. However all worth it for me.

I was at Joe's in August and as always the food was excellent. I have never had anything but delicious food. The service is impeccable, the dining room is beautiful, and they are able to make you feel as though you are the only ones in the dining room. However, I just called to have champagne brought to friends that will be dining there tonight to celebrate their anniversary and was told they could not accommodate that request. I was very disappointed.
