Johnny's All American Cafe and Sports Bar reviews
13Came for early happy hour to read. Dive bar is a bit critical, as it's not a dive anywhere outside a major city. It is cheap, welcoming, avaliable, cozy, unpretentious. I like it. Tried the guac and it was all packaged processed but I have to imagine the other food is better?
Best bar in DC. The owner is incredibly welcoming and chill and obviously puts passion and work into his business. Drinks are always delicious and great prices (especially in DC!). All of the bartenders are delightful, and the food is delicious and perfect for a little bite. Shows any game you might want!
My favorite neighborhood bar. Food and drinks are great and reasonably priced for DC. The place is always coming up with something creative for customers. Amazing chili. The owner and staff are also so welcoming. I can’t think of any other bar where I feel so welcome and comfortable while having a drink. Highly recommend.
Johnny’s has *everything* you want in a neighborhood bar. Great selection of drinks for watching the game, chilling with friends and meeting new folks (including other bartenders from the area who come here off-shift to hang out, always a good sign!) The staff really make the place - they’re friendly, hardworking, and totally go the extra mile.
$18 for a “burger” and a beer. The burger was the width of the beer can and took 35 minutes to make. Finished it in 3 bites. Absurd. If it was supposed to be a slider, fine but it wasn’t advertised as such and since when do you only get one slider in an order? And again seriously, one slider and a beer? $18?
Amazing burgers and really great owner. Excited this place opened, and can’t wait to head back soon when NBA season kicks off again
Originally came here for March Madness and have enjoyed coming back each time! Dive bar that also has cocktails and staff that are happy to accommodate you. Love that they carry Loverboy. It can get loud inside but there’s plenty of outdoor seating and citronella candles!
They have games which is cool but they're dirty and sticky. This place is cheap but you get what you pay for. Drinks taste watered down, they only carry bottom shelf and the food is bland and has no flavor!
The bartender working on 6/28/2023 in the early evening was incredible. Working the bar, outside, and having a smiling face is a rarity in DC. Kudos to that young dude. The food needs a lot of work but hey it’s a dive. Compared to their neighbors, this place shines!
Great cocktails, lots of drinks options, cozy space and most of all a welcoming and relaxed space with very friendly ownership, welcome to feedback. This is a place to chill and enjoy life.
Great addition to the neighborhood! New spot but it feels like it been there forever. Well made cocktails and good bar snacks.
So glad this bar joined the neighborhood. Such a relaxed, welcoming environment with great drinks and friendly staff. Check it out if you are in the area!
How can I not love an Ohio themed bar? ! Dope spot, chipped it up with my fellow Ohioan bar owner too! Good drinks and good vibes!
