Knot Standard is great place for something bespoke. Their staff is very professional and easy to work with. Every detail is considered and their products are top notch. Went in for a particular suit I found they made and ending up getting exactly what I wanted. They did a custom shirt to match and they threw in an entire suit free of charge. A+

As likely most patrons are when they first walk into Knot Standard, I was new to the experience of custom fashion and styling. Via referral from a close friend (who had glowing things to say), I was put in touch with Emily and visited the Knot Standard DC location to inquire about a custom outfit for my wedding rehearsal dinner. Emily went above and beyond to both welcome me and educate me on the store’s processes, as well as remained patient as I narrowed down what color, fabric, stitching, and a plethora of other options I wanted (the options truly are endless). It was important to me to select an outfit that would work for the rehearsal dinner, but could also be worn to the office/ other formal events, and Emily guided me to something wearable throughout the year - pointing out and confirming every detail and custom measurement. Turnaround time was as expected, if not faster, and as soon as the full outfit came in I was beyond impressed.

So impressed in fact, that I cancelled an appointment to try on wedding tuxedos at another store and immediately asked Emily to help me design a custom tux for my wedding day. I told her I wanted to look and feel like James Bond from Casino Royale and she more than delivered. We went through the same process as before with the same care, swiftness, and attention to detail (consistency is important and she knocks it out of the park). She even ordered me an extra pair of tux pants at a different length since I was torn on two different pairs of shoes to wear for the big day. Once the tux came in and I tried it all on, I was so thankful to have chosen Knot Standard and relied on Emily’s expertise – the fit, craftsmanship, and comfortability was out of this world.

Huge thanks to Emily for helping me look and feel my best during such a momentous weekend. No matter what your styling needs are, you will not regret giving her a visit.

I love Knot Standard. I've never been a custom clothing guy, but this place made me a believer. My style advisor in DC, Emily Blumberh, made all of the suits for my wedding party and the guests absolutely loved them. I recently had her make me a pair of blazers and I couldn't be happier. Emily was amazing! We went to Emily to get our wedding tuxedos, which was extremely important to my husband and me. This was my first experience purchasing a custom-tailored suit (a tuxedo for my wedding), so I was very meticulous in choosing fabrics, color, style, accessories, etc. - being indecisive at times. Emily was not only patient with me, she was honest and gave me real talk about what would and would not work, and what I'd look great in. She had my best interest in mind, so I put my entire trust in her and her expertise. Once I decided on a general look, she gave me advice on every little piece of detail and I am so glad I followed all her recommendations. Not only did the tuxedo fit perfectly, I was extremely happy with all the accessories and details Emily suggested: from advising to not wear a watch (because one should not be concerned about the time on your wedding day) to silk over-the-calf socks that the pants don't cling to.
