La Colombe Coffee Roasters reviews
13La Colombe is a great place to get a quality cup of coffee in the Chinatown area. I went to this location several times on a recent trip to DC. Baristas were always friendly and helpful. The Oatmilk Draft Latte was delicious as was the light roast drip coffee. The only downside were the pastries. They are not made in-house but delivered each morning. I tried a couple but they didn't taste fresh. Stick to the coffee options here as La Colombe is a great place to get your coffee fix!
If you like latte, you need to try here. We were on our morning walk, wanted to drink coffee and poped up here by chance. Perfect latte, kind person.
I went here for a place to rest for a bit and to my delight they had a dedicated water filling station. It provides free, VERY cold water and sparkling water. I also bought a muffin which was $5 but it was worth it for the water.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of coffee here. They have an interesting twist which is to always offer two kinds of espresso brews: a robust/dark option (cornerstone) and another lighter/fruitier option. I dislike fruity coffee, so having a deeper, richer flavor available standard was very much appreciated! The macchiato is excellent - a bit more like a cortado than a traditional macchiato in terms of the amount of milk - but lovely nonetheless.
Some seating available.
Their cold brew has a unique brightness to it that I haven't noticed elsewhere! If you like slightly fruity and bright notes in your coffee, or if you're just looking to try something new, I doubt you'll be disappointed!
Love this place. Had their Corsica drip coffee twice on different days. It’s a really good black drip coffee. Not sweet like some other American black (drip) coffees. Not too strong. Just how I (as a European) like it.
Cafe Latte was done really well! Great ambience and friendly staff though pastries were not that interesting. Go for the coffee and enjoy the minimalist but calm vibe.
Great place to enjoy a terrific coffee and hot chocolate while taking in D. C.streetlife and sunshine.
Stayed in The Hampton Inn ConventionCenter location across the street but wanted something much better than their free hotel coffee. La Colombe is steps out the door and has really good coffee. The barista was super helpful in letting us know about their flavors. Very positive experience in a delightful, convenient location. We’ll be back next DC trip.
I love La Colombe coffee. I always get the draft latte. The staff is always friendly. I enjoy going to this location.
Best chai I’ve ever had. Wish there was a location in Baltimore, my wallet would be emptied. I do wish they had a larger size option for the chai though.
Great place, good location. Lots of light from windows, skylight, and mirror. Got a mocha because they were prepping a new batch of their chai on draft and I didn't want to wait, but my friend got the chai and said it was delicious. I'll go back for it for sure. No wifi, so maybe not a great option for working, but good spot to meet a friend.
The Coffee drinks we tried were good and the place was very accommodating. Will definitely go back
