Lauriol Plaza reviews
16I made reservations and when I got there the only thing they had available was a table outside. The temperature was not suitable for outside seating as it was cold (no outside heaters available) and drizzling. The manager Julio shrugged and said well thats the only thing available and said there would be a 30 min wait. After he was made aware that I had a reservation he magically said itd be 15-20 mins. Still ended up waiting 30 mins before we got seated. He was very dismissive and rude. After getting sat I asked if he could accommodate us with an appetizer given our wait time despite having a reservation. He flat out said no and began going back and forth with me about the table they had outside. I had to stop discussing it with him and asked him to ask the chef. The service was ok nothing over the top. I made reservations for a birthday so this experience was very disappointing and distasteful. It was not my first time there but certainly my last.
Great time at Lauriol Plaza. I came on a busy Thursday evening and was able to be seated immediately. They had a solid selection of drinks and a wonderfully varied menu. Generous portions and plenty of outdoor seating if that's your thing. I had the burrito and I definitely recommend, although the fajitas looked and smelled fantastic from a nearby table. Looking forward to going back.
Great food. Great service. They sat us outside under the covered area. Food was delicious. And so were the drinks.
My god! Has this place hit the skids. Been eating here for over 30 years. Wanted the shrimp and crab enchiladas at my last visit. My favorite. No longer an entree option, they now have shrimp and scallops enchiladas. It was terrible! The scallops were horribly cooked. This place’s downfall really saddens me
The best of TexMex. I had the chicken burritos platter. Even tge salsa was good with a little heat. I like spicy! Whatever you crave, I'm sure they have a food find for you.
Cristina is the reason to dine at Lauriol Plaza. She’s amazing. Cristina makes you feel like you are the most important customer. The food is decent. Masitas de Puerco is one of their best dishes. They also have a variety of delicious salads. Swirl margaritas are delicious. The Mango margarita is also quite good. Sitting on the outside patio is enjoyable, especially in the fall or spring.
The food was good, 7 out of 10, but for an empty restaurant on a Saturday evening, service was slow and inattentive. We will likely be back, but we left disappointed considering its reputation.
Frozen lime Margaritas and service continue to get 5 stars but I was disappointed by the food on this visit. The salsa served with the chips had bits of char that flavoured it burnt. First time in 7+ years that has happened. I chose the Ceviche de Camarones for something fresh but it had zero lime flavour and was so salty I couldn’t finish the broth, and the dressing for the house salad had zero flavour. I’ve had amazing food at this restaurant in the past so not sure what has changed, but disappointed on this visit.
I’ve been. Couple times and have had an awesome experience. The staff is very nice and welcoming. The food is really good!
Prime location and very convenient. Very pleasant experience with the staff and superb service. Very good food and lots of choices. Thank you
I went there with my daughter to meet up with a coworker. I noticed there was a no splitting check policy but I hadn’t realized this when I made the reservation so when the waiter came over immediately he was extremely rude as I asked about the policy. He acted like he didn’t event want to acknowledge my presence. We place our order and the food is fine but while we were eating a server setting the table right behind my coworker and daughter drops a bunch of plates. Of course the shards fly and cut my daughters toe and the back of my coworkers leg. They were both bleeding and the most they offered us was an apology and band aid. By this time I’m ready to go so I flag our server because I’m paying the bill. He rudely comes back with the bill completely ignores me and hands it to my coworker. This entire experience was terrible and the food wasn’t worth it. I’d give this place 0 stars if I could never again!
I had the pleasure of visiting Lauriol Plaza in D. C, and it's safe to say that this place is an absolute gem. Their frozen margaritas are hands down some of the best in town – a refreshing and perfectly balanced concoction that hits the spot every time. Lauriol Plaza stands as a D. C.staple, and a visit here is an absolute must. The vibrant atmosphere, combined with the delectable drinks and great service staff, makes it a perfect choice. Don't miss out on the chance to indulge in their signature margaritas at Lauriol Plaza.
Love everything about this place. The food is outstanding and the frozen margaritas are the best
I enjoyed everything about this place the food was so good and the service was perfect. Loved sitting outside and watching the people walk by. I will definitely be back.
One of my favorite restaurants in dc.food is consistently wonderful and the staff are such a loveable group of people.quesadillas all day
It is a perfect place for large groups, there are plenty of tables and space. The food is good there are Latin food options and the potions are good.
