The building itself is a beauty, but inside it is majestic, you must enter the page beforehand to obtain your barcode to enter. It has no cost and is well worth it.

So much to explore here! A must for the art and history of the building and the vastness of the collections.

Iconic library including the collection of Thomas Jefferson books. Also one of the 3 Gutenberg Bibles in the world (with that of the British Library in London and that of the BNF Richelieu in Paris). Free and open visit, reservation required on the official website. Many mediators answer your questions.

The Library of Congress, located in the vibrant city of Washington, D. C, I believe is an essential destination for lovers of knowledge, history and architecture.

I was impressed to see with my own eyes the largest library in the world, its extensive collections span a variety of formats and disciplines, offering a virtually unlimited treasure trove of information. In addition to its millions of books, the library houses maps, manuscripts, photographs, recordings and much more.

Beautiful building and library with a rich history and interesting audio tour. It takes about an hour to visit and listen to the audio tour. Do reserve a spot before going

It's a really cool building both inside and out, the architecture and interior design is Greco-Roman. There's a lot of quotes written about inside and there isna brief tour of the library itself. You can see the capitol building as well as the Washington monument from the top floor. The Supreme Court is next door ad well.

You need to reserve it to visit. We did not know that. So when they showed us the way of exit, we quickly sneaked in to a stairway, and entered the library.
But its not as amazing as it sounds. I expected more arranged and full of astonishing facts/rear books.

A beautiful building decorated with so many artistic elements that you don't know where to look first. Even if you don't normally have much interest in books, the beauty of these rooms is definitely worth a trip. It's also a good place to go exploring as there are lots of different things that are either dedicated to famous thinkers or that look familiar.

From the moment you arrive it makes you feel as if you were in a European palace. We accessed the library from the tunnel that connects it to the capitol, this is right where the guided tours end. It's a good tip so they don't have to go out.

The entire library is beautiful, the ceilings, the floors, the walls, frames and arches, columns, murals and frescoes. The central part is only for researchers and authorized personnel, but can be seen from a balcony for visitors.

You do have to make an appointment to go but it's free.

Make sure you reserve a self guided tour before you go. Don't have to be on time. The guards will let you in as long as on the same day.

This library is truely a work of art. It felt like we were backing back in history. Beautiful views of the library from the thrust floor. In the front of the building there are nice statuses and plants. Parking is limited we were able to find street parking.

Working in the largest library in the world is just wonderful! Yet it is also highly recommended for a tour: There is a Gutenberg Bible on display, the first map with the name America, the extraordinary Central Reading Room and much more. A magnificent building and a fabulous array of exhibits.
