Nice place for breakfast in Washington DC. Great location. Love my eggs and bacon. Just in front of the Ford’s Theater and besides the house (museum ticket required) where Lincoln died in April 15,1865.

Nice little place to grab some breakfast. Service was quick and food tasted great. Can definitely recommend the wings. Not exactly the cleanest place but that is not what they are going, it's a family run joint. You can tell they are all about getting people in and getting them food quick.

The waffles were so-so but the corned beef hash and eggs were delicious. It has a cool atmosphere. Most people sit at wrap around bar seating so you end up talking to your neighbors. Food and service was fast. Overall a good place to get breakfast!

All of our food was delicious. After my family visited Fords Theater we had lunch here. Both my boys had delicious pancakes and bacon. Their food came first, which I think is amazing, and our followed shortly. Wonderful service and excellent food! If given the opportunity well definitely visit again

A real hole in the wall great, great food experience! I love it, real grits and coffee was good, and my family friend cornbread has was good. Only two things another family friend didn't like and no one appeared to like was the pancakes and the salmon patties. It is a "waffle name" LOL! Besides that. Everything was good, the chicken wings were good too! We came here again! I got the same thing and my daughter did as well, and our other guest got the chicken fried steak this time to try.
It's like the real DC people place to eat, and the diversity is great here. If you are too uppity, or boujee acting, then don't come here. It isn't perfect, but if you like to explore and love good atmosphere experiences and good food come indeed! Highly recommend. I am definitely, picky, boujee, love finer things, and food allergies and regular allergies and I like it here. My other family friends that came the 1st time and she has slight ASD, and her two children and they liked it here! BONUS.

Love finding great diners on trips. Unfortunately I didn’t think to take pictures but my family and I loved it here. Wings and home fries, chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and waffles with sausage and eggs and bacon. The staff were quick and ready to offer an opinion if your not sure what to get. There was another family who sat next to us at the counter and it was there second day returning for breakfast. Think that says enough. Right across the street from Fords Theater.

Great place at reasonable prices! I went on a very busy Saturday with a line outside but they kept everything moving smoothly and the wait was short. Once I was in my server Jason was very attentive and took my order and brought out the food quickly. The food was very good, the waffles are huge! Would recommend if you want a quick bite before heading in to the Smithsonian.

I really don't understand some of the positive reviews that I have read about this place. This restaurant is just below average by my standards. I ordered the western omelet with home fries, and I have to say the home fries are probably some of the worst I have had in a long time. They just tasted like boiled potatoes that were slightly fried to give it some color. The omelet, however, was fine. Coffee was pretty good, too, but very overpriced. The overall appearance of this place shows it really needs an upgrade badly, especially the bathroom downstairs, which has an offensive, pungent odor. One other thing I wasn't too happy with was that I was being rushed to order as soon as I walked in and was given the check right after I got my food. Don't get me wrong, the staff is friendly it is just that they look to give the customers the bums rush like they are expecting large crowds. Unfortunately, I know a lot of people will just come here for a quick bite to eat while touring the Ford Theater and the Petersen House that is nearby. Now, would I come here again the next time I am in the area? Hmmm.maybe not.

Amazing service, food quality, and an interesting backdrop of the Fords Theatre. If you and your family are tired of the ridiculous high prices of local hotels this is the place to go!

There was a line when we got there on Saturday morning but it moved fairly quickly. Service was great, super friendly and food came quickly. Food isn't anything special, but for a cheap meal in the DC area, it works.

Strange little diner with a weird Lincoln-inspired origin story. We decided to stop here after visiting Ford’s Theater pretty much solely because of the name and because we were feeling tourist-y. We got in line around 11: 00-ish and had to wait a while to get a table. We each ordered chocolate chip waffles. I got a scrambled egg and my sister got home fries. The food was pretty standard diner stuff. The waffle was larger than expected. If you’re visiting the Ford’s theater area, like breakfast foods, and don’t mind possibly having to wait in line for a little bit, I recommend this place.

Great atmosphere. Friendly. Salmon cakes were awesome. Love the diner feel. Not pretentious and over priced

This is a Washington tradition. The Lincoln House has been here for decades. It combined with a Waffle House about 20 years ago. Not fancy but if you want breakfast, go here.

Just what we wanted that morning after our tour. We were visiting DC for a few days. This place hit the spot! Perfect cheap breakfast grub. Don’t let the look of the place deter you. It’s good good grub! Huge portions, very friendly staff, and a good place to unwind. Thank you for great food and… letting me keep the hand written receipt as a souvenir!

Food was good but I worry about the cleanliness of this place and hope they clean their kitchen from time to time.

The clean utensils were not clean, lord knows what is happening with the maple syrup, and the calculator used to tally the total is flat out gross.

The maple syrup bottles reused so many times the label is worn off, no lids, and have a bad film on the inside of the bottle.

Does Washington have a restaurant inspector?

Our server was very friendly and the service was quick. The waffle was nice and thin, not too heavy. The sausage was good as well. A more affordable option in the city

We went to Lincoln’s Waffle Shop for lunch after visiting Ford’s Theatre. Nothing fancy. Old school diner food. Very good and the price was right. Service was terrific!
