Lupo Verde Osteria Palisades reviews
21This is a phenomenal Italian restaurant in DC. The space is really cozy for its location in the neighborhood. The food is amazing, I'm halfway through the menu (originally starting with the lasagna) and still can't find a bad item.
Made a reservation for Valentines Day and this place did not disappoint! Food was amazing and the service was friendly and quick. Would definitely come back! The baby roses at the end made our night. Recommend!
Nice environment. All the dishes we got were very good, with the possible exception of the fried artichokes, which was just good. Good and considerate service.
My only complaint is the price point, which didn't quite seem justified by the quality. At that cost, I would of hoped for one or two "wow" dishes, which I don't think we got.
We really had high expectations as the atmosphere seemed perfect. Nicely lite, well set out and cosy.
It felt like it was understaffed. We waited for 20mins to have our ordered taken. Bread arrived with starter when we had asked for it as soon as we sat down. Starter took 30mins to arrive.
I had to ask three times for a second glass of wine which showed up as a different more expensive glass on the bill.by the time my wine arrived I had almost finished my meal.
The starter salad was delicious.
The Melanzane, $33, was undercooked.
We were not offered salt, pepper or parmesan with our pasta.
The Tiramusu was frozen and when soften the biscuit tasted like water.
The bill was over priced for the food.
Waitress was not understanding or appolgetic and gave us a very rude goodbye.
Very disappointed.
2 lamb ragu, flavorful, hot and homemade pasta. Foccia bread warm. Salad with garbonza beans and mushrooms. Seafood platter, warm, squid, zucchini, octopus, calamari, shrimp lately fried. Tiramisu cocoa on top with baby chocolates on top. 3 small cannoli with pistachios. Ricotta filling lite delicious. YoYo very good server/waitress. Very knowledgeable about menu. Pleasant. Attentive. On street parking. Place clean. Store located beneath establishment. Will revisit next time. Will revisit.
Not a wide selection per se but each offering is unique and well prepared with excellent service and a lot of energy among the guests and a relaxed vibe. Everyone enjoyed our first visit.
Previously described by others as “cosy”. We thought it was cramped! The recommended Tagliatelle was fatty, heavy and over spiced, and with obviously cheap meat. The Maitre D’ could be described as overly familiar, or “ handsy” - pushy, in repeatedly plying the wine even to the non-drinkers in the group and chauvinistic in the billing.
Extremely expensive for quite average food. The service was over-the-top — we were interrupted constantly.
I'll start off with saying the service was excellent, zero complaints there, our server was great. Now to the food, I felt like it was just OK. This is honestly the 1st Italian restaurant I left still feeling hungry even after having apps and pasta. The lamb Ragu lacked flavor and the lasagna was ok but a very, very small portion. I agree with the other reviews that the price is a bit high given the portions. Beautiful restaurant, staff was great.just the food needed more of a punch of flavor.
Great service, great ambience, and delicious food. Came to celebrate a birthday party and everything was incredible. Highly recommend the lamb Ragu and lasagna. Desserts were also on point. Can't wait to be back.
Romantic and quaint Italian restaurant with a great menu and personalized service. Home-made pasta, delicious appetizers, and daily specials.
Nice brunch, not over sweet and rather authentic. Good service and a very nice atmosphere.
Recommended.
This place does not disappoint. I've tried almost their entire menu and I love everything.
The service is always great!
This place has it all. Incredible food, warm atmosphere, delicious drinks, and wonderful service. I couldn’t be more happy with the meal I had there.
We really loved this restaurant and will go back again soon. Reminded me of a quaint little European family-owned bistro.
Our dessert was especially delicious
The waiter was ver inattentive to half the party.
Food way over priced for what it is. Very very disappointing.
All three of us were delighted with this small Italian restaurant. The food was very good - all fresh and freshly prepared to our order, the staff very friendly and appropriately attentive. We enjoyed the very low noise / sound level. This would be a nice place for a gathering of up to 10 or 12 people, too.
Below average pasta-claims to be homemade, over priced dishes but pizza was good and salad was nice and fresh. Server was friendly.
Lupe Verde on MacArthur Blvd is a hidden gem. Classic upscale Italian at it's best. Don't miss half-price Wednesday's for bottles of wine and just a nice ambiance. Menu is limited but high quality food.
We ordered 7 different dishes and all of them were delicious.
They were very kind and offered a cake for the birthday person
