The Mayflower is an old hotel that is well maintained. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Xmas. It's conveniently located next to 2 sub stations: Farragut North (red line) & Farragut West (blue, orange and silver lines). All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. While it has a restaurant (we did not use), it is also close to several coffee shops and restaurants.

The rooms had plenty of drawer and closet space for our 4-night stay. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot and had good pressure.

Ask for a room that does not overlook Connecticut Ave. Not sure why, but some cars on Connecticut Ave.seemed quite loud in the mid-late evenings (e.g. 9: 00pm to midnight).

Beware of the deals offered by the Marriott Vacations Club staff! They entice you by offering many benefits they do not honor.

A beautiful property that offers exquisite accommodations. I travel 50% of the year, and this is definitely a top 5 experience for 2023. I only wish that I could have stayed longer to enjoy the charm of this property.

I’m righting this review as an owner in the Marriott Abound program. Even though this is mostly a hotel, they rent out the 7th floor as it’s Pulse property. The location of the hotel was great! Right by a Farragut North metro stop. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby for easy access for anything you need.

Check-in went quick and efficient. The clerk was very nice and accommodating. Once I got to the 7th floor I was greeted by the Timeshare sales rep. They gave me a few things about the hotel and area. I signed up for a presentation and received my gift. Overall, very quick and efficient process to get to my room.

The room was okay. The decor was nice, but the AC and shower were dated; the AC was a wall unit and it was difficult getting the room to temperature. The bed was nice and there was a nice seating area at the end. One thing lacking was the drawer space for my clothes. I don’t think this was a hotel people stayed at for long.

The restaurant on site was very nice. I had a few breakfasts and lunches there while on my stay. The hotel did not have any laundry facilities so be prepared to have it sent out if you need something cleaned. The fitness center was excellent! A nice variety of exercise equipment selections. Lastly, the gift shop was nicely equipped with snacks and more for convenience.

Overall, it’s a nice place to stay if you’re visiting DC. Just be prepared for a slightly older type hotel, but still very nicely furnished.

We booked this hotel for the location and the price. The room was comfortable although somewhat dated. We could hear honking and the noise of club-goers at 3am. However, it still felt like a good value for our family to be so close to all the DC sights! The lobby was beautiful and it was cool to be someplace so historic. Use SpotHero to find parking if you don't want to valet for $66/night.

Excellent location, within walking distance from the Mall and museums, but being next door to the metro is a HUGE plus. While the rooms weren't bad, they are beginning to show their age. When they are finished the current renovations, we will definitely be back.

Great location for this historic building. Looking forward to returning as the kids get a bit older. Access to nearly everyone with the Metro.

Marriott Pulse vacation club services so bad, gave us tickets for museum but date was for a month later! After we took Metro and walked to get there on time. Ruined the whole schedule for the last day of our 3 day vacation in Washington!

We’ve stayed at other Marriott Vacation Club Pulse properties, including the excellent one in San Diego, Unfortunately this one is not worth it. The Club Pulse floor, as far as I can tell, exists solely to try to book vacation club sales pitches to guests. Otherwise the desk is empty, the coffee station is broken down, closed and unattended. Though overall the property is beautiful, rooms are small and nothing special. I was told at the front desk in the lobby that they have nothing to do with the Club Pulse floor except clean the rooms. The location is great as is the adjoining Edgar restaurant. If I returned, I would book a regular room here, depending on the points conversion.

Great location. Lobby area is impressive. The room was nice and clean. The 4 star vs 5 because the mattress was horrible. Very soft and unsupportive. Woke up both mornings with a super stiff back. Otherwise all good.
