MI VIDA, Washington DC

Unfortunately, our visit to the Mi Vida restaurant was anything but satisfactory, especially in view of the bruschetta carne that we chose.

The Bruschetta Carne was presented as a tempting option on the menu, but the reality was very different. Three tiny portions, each consisting of just three small pieces of meat and without any accompaniment, left us perplexed and disappointed. The high price for these minimalist portions was in no way justified and felt like an outrage.

The wait for this dish was unreasonably long, and when it was finally served we discovered that other orders had also been forgotten. This negligence on the part of the staff further marred our experience.

Overall, I can't recommend the Bruschetta Carne at Mi Vida. The combination of small portions, high prices and poor service meant we left with a disappointing opinion. Hopefully in the future the restaurant can improve its quality and meet the expectations of its guests.

The restaurant is GORGEOUS! The customer service was wonderful and the food was AWESOME! The Birra tacos are plentiful and delicious! The drinks were worth it Iykyk! I love this place!

Came for the happy hour specials. Ordered the alitas adobodas (wings), taco dorados, and la frozen cocktails. Excellent food and drinks.

The food was pretty good but the service was bad. They overserved the guacamole and charged us about $17 per bowl of guac. They couldn’t split the check for a party of 6. They also include a 23.5% tip/fee which does not accurately represent the service they provided.

Easily the best Mexican food you can get here in D. C. When I first moved here, the hardest thing was finding good Mexican food. I am extremely happy that I found this place and I would recommend it to anybody who likes authentic Mexican food. I've been to two of their three locations and both of them have the exact same food quality and it's top notch.

Great food, awesome atmosphere. It can be difficult to hear inside, but my overal experience was pleasant.

Place was ok. Food was alright. But really don’t like how they passed on an Initiative 82 fee onto the customer.

Worst food I've ever encountered. EVERYTHING was heavily oversalted. They even managed to ruin guac. I got tacos carbon and steak was diced in chewy overdone chunks. The flavor profiles were not as expected and the sauce was very spicy. In fact, everything we ordered was on fire. There are no warnings on the menu. If you don't like extreme heat, even in your guac, stay away. I generally love authentic Mexican food. Could not have been more disappointed or disgusted with this restaurant. The service was good & we enjoyed our drinks (but the wine pours were quite stingy). Sadly, nothing can overcome the terrible food.

Absolutely pleasurable experience. The food was tasty, the meat on the chamorro just melts in your mouth. They were not afraid to spice up the enchiladas as well. The guac works well alone, but with the sauce it was something special.

The space is also beautifully designed, and the atmosphere is lively. The staff was wonderful as well.

We went to Mi Vida during a weekday lunch, and honestly I can say it was extremely worth it. Prices are good and it's just a lot of food.

Now as for the food itself - we got the Chicken Enchiladas and Fish Tacos with guac and salsa. The chips were fresh, tasted house made with a good crunch. The guac was salsa were well balanced as well. I absolutely loved the fish tacos, crispy on the outside and tender / flaky on the inside. Certain taco places can be hit or miss with fish tacos, but I really did like these. The Enchiladas were great from what I remember, but that was my companion's meal I took a bite of.

As for service, they were very patient answering all of our questions. The food came out quickly, and the servers were very well informed about the menu.

It's also right outside the train station, honestly a great plus.

Lots of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Food was solid nothing super special or unique. Staff were kind. Great location to Capitol One Arena. Plantains were delicious.

Food was excellent! Visited here when traveling. Nachos, Enchiladas Suizas, and Carne esada tacos were delicious. But the restaurant was very dark.needed a flashlight to read menu. Additionally the music was loud.it was difficult to hear conversation with other people at our table. I would still go again because the enchiladas were the best I've had in my life!

Had a wonderful dinner experience with the family at Mi Vida. The service from Paola was absolutely incredible. Very catering to the children and provided some great recommendations on the menu while taking allergies into account.
Highly recommend it.

Some of my favourite flavours from this trip to DC. Thanks for a great experience and spot on recommendations Christian! The Smokey sauce with the chips and guacamole was sublime and should absolutely be bottled for retail sales out of the restaurant. I wish I could bring some home with me.
