Millie's Spring Valley reviews
15 Such a fun spot with Nantucket vibes in DC. Really great drinks, food, and service. We (obviously) for the Frosé, which lived up to the hype. We ordered the Burrata (shown in picture) and the Tuckernuck tacos. Highly recommend both.
This place is also great to just sit at the bar and enjoy a few drinks! We came during the US open, so it was a fun spot to watch some tennis!
Our server was great. My friend had an allergy and he took good care of her. Had grilled salmon salad which was very good! So much I couldn’t finish it. Also had a dish with mango salsa which was really good. I left something on the table at the end of dinner and came back to find that they had held it for me. Highly recommend this place!
Incredible Place in Washington! We had such a great time today in their brunch, the Froze was incredible, and all the food was superb! If you want a really good service ask to be attended by Kelly! She was top notch with the service and recommendations! I definitely will come back!
The shrimp po boy was very good m, and the girls enjoyed their scramble and quesadillas. We had to wait - not a big deal, but when seated in the very tight space along the wall, it seemed they forgot about us despite several wait staff and hosts standing around. We just felt invisible for what seemed like a long time. But the food came pretty quickly and was very good albeit expensive.
We were visiting the DC area and just happened upon this wonderful restaurant. We were in hurry and didn't know what to expect but everything was absolutely great, professional service and excellent food. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.
Happy and cheery atmosphereFood is not there best strength however a nice verity in drinks, nice and friendly server.
Order take out. Appetizers, Entree salad and paid for extra $ dressing still not enough dressing for to consume a salad.dressing is too thick to be even use. Stop ripping off.
Millie’s is a little gem in spring valley! The staff is courteous and efficient, the food is always consistently good and the atmosphere is a fun casual coastal family vibe! This place is great! The only issue is parking along the street can sometimes be challenging but always worth it! Check it out!
Millies imposes a service charge that is only disclosed on the bill. Apparently the service charge is meant to compensate the owner for finally having to pay a liveable wage to staff. So one has to basically pay twice for service. Other than that, not impressed - hostess nowhere to be seen, broken bench for seating, slow service, high prices.
Ate out on the front patio, had a young kid for a server that was fabulous and the food was great!
Amazing food, atmosphere, and service by our favorite server, Reilly! It’s always a great time at Millie’s. Can’t wait to go back!
They add a surcharge to the bill to adjust for DC Initiative #82 that aims to equalize DC minimum wage with the federal level. Not only it is not transparent (and hence annoying once you receive the bill), it is ridiculous that it is even included (given how small it is in relative terms). Why make such a political statement? $5.35/hr in 2022 is clearly not a livable wage all in all.
Otherwise people are friendly, food is decent and the place looks like a nice neighborhood family hangout place.
I eat at Millie’s a few times a month and have never been disappointed. Every dish is delicious with fresh seafood, drinks are great (best frosé I’ve ever had), super fast service. The atmosphere is great, especially when it’s nice out with everyone having a great time outside around the picnic tables. I also rarely make reservations and never have to wait more than 20 mins to be seated.
I won’t go back. I’ve been here several times, but today was the last straw. Honestly, the only reason I went today was because of those I was with. I won’t do it again. I have found hair in my food twice. And it wasn’t like the hair could have fallen between the kitchen and my table. There was hair partly embedded on the bottom part of my sandwich. It didn’t help that I took one bite, felt I would vomit, tan to the bathroom, returned and asked for a box to wrap it up, and while lifting the sandwich to transfer it to the box, found a hair. 2nd time. I used to always order to go lunch from there, but the to go meals never look as full or well-prepared as the ones that come when you order it while dining in. Won’t do that again. Today, there were so many flies in their that we could not eat in peace. It was horrible. There were less flies outside than in the building. I’m good. I’ll go somewhere else.
Millie’s was super fun! When we got there, it was really busy but they said we could grab a high-top seat if there was one available. We managed to snag one, and got served immediately. To share, we got the salsa, guac, and queso platter. The salsa tasted as though it had mint in it, which was actually really refreshing. I got the tacos, and the rice is really yummy. Drinks were good also. My friend got their mystery cocktail, and they said it was tasty!
