Mission Dupont Circle, Washington DC

In DC for vaca. Second dinner at Mission this evening. Emily, our server was excellent. Tacos were awesome and the Southwestern salad was the bomb for my wife. Atmosphere is hopping! Will definitely be back when we swing through again! Very reasonable prices!

Kind of meh food. However, sit outside and enjoy the vibes. Took 15 minutes to get a beer- my food was out before I got my beer: (

So I've come back here a few times since writing this original review and I've always had great food and good service until today. The reason I'm updating this review is because out of all the times I've been they have never asked me for a card to hold for the table. My friend group consisting of all of us being Black and Hispanic minorities with tattoos felt discriminated against because we paid attention to the people that got sat around us and none of them gave cards to the waiter.

Food was really good especially the chicken quesadilla and vegan tacos. On the particular day we went it was packed but without reservations we were seated as a party 5 within 20 minutes. Service was a little slow but that’s understandable being how packed it was. I definitely plan on returning

I came here for brunch. The margaritas were strong but the food was just ok. I order chilaquiles and there was not a lot of salsa and there was no melted cheese, like it said on the menu description. Compared to the other places in the DMV area, I am not quite sure whether or not I would go back to brunch. Our server was also very inattentive. There were not many customers and it took a while to bring drinks and food to us and collect our orders.

Shrimp tacos were fantastic. Quick & easy. Sat outside and had a casual beer. Quality service.

I hosted my birthday party at Mission Dupont after hosting it at Hawthorne last year, and I am once again so impressed! They always set up the space so nicely, have attentive bartenders, and are easy to work with. I will always host my events at Mission Group!

Recently, went to Mission Dupont for a social club dinner. The food was great and good service.

Solid chips, nachos, guac, and cocktails. Good happy hour. Dinner food wasn't great, kind of bland. Good for large groups.

Drove down from NYC and needed a quick, good late night bite and walked until we came to The Mission. My tacos were good, but one thing about flour tortillas, the need some kick, some seasoning combo added to them. Otherwise, they are flat next to shrimp w mangoes and seasoned chicken.
The wings were delicious. Hubby had the Southeest salad.

As it was late, the music (perhaps DJ) was really loud. It was difficult for the diners who were seated and not at the bar to hold conversations.

Love dining with big groups in their outdoor patio section! Such a great vibe especially with good weather. The pitchers are fun and hold about 4~ margs and their food is really good! The chicken enchiladas are yummy!

One thing they can improve is bringing more chips to the table. We ordered salsa and guac and only had 1 basket of chips to share for 9 people, other than that it was a great dining experience!

We went for bottomless brunch, and really enjoyed the drink options and food. Our service was great - Andrew was stellar.
