I LOVE MLK DELI.my food is always giving what it's supposed to give. The staff is professional and I will keep getting a crab cake sandwich regardless if it's $50 or half off and I love their lemon pepper wings

Everything is on the menu amazing. My fav was the chicken melt but I’m trying to be more experimental. I love this place. Black owned and quality tasting. Sad I moved from SE.

Not too big of fan of where it is, despite that fact, their crabcake alone is worth checking out. Little to no breading straight lump meat. Would have loved to have some homemade remoulade with that, but tasty nonetheless

I want to give MLK Deli 5 stars for the food I ordered today. However, the lackluster customer service takes away from the experience. On to the positive though, the food.

I ordered a tuna sandwich and the grilled brioche bun stole the show. That bread was so good, I forgot about the tuna. Anything between that bun would have been good. The flat iron toasting on the bun is extra loving from any kitchen. I will be back to try something else and to support this Black-owned neighborhood gem. Better customer service would make this a full 5-star worthy establishment.

I ordered a big beef sandwich but I got a Ruben sandwich instead.luckily I like Rubens so I'm not mad.plus the cashier is new so I'm not complaining.but I need that big beef next time.lol

I had a great crab cake sandwich stuffed with delicious chunks of crab! Very little filler! That was impressive. However, It was very pricey. I got two sandwiches, two cans of soda and chips. It was flavorful and delicious but I’d think a small side or something to compliment the price tag would help.

Let me just get straight to the point. The food here is so overrated. They are way too expensive. The portion sizes are small and ridiculous especially considering the price. They take forever to make your food and their staff have a really nonchalant and careless attitude. Don't
believe the hype of these good reviews. You will waste your time and money here. I would give this place a -2 stars if I could. That's just how bad my experience was.

Great sandwiches. Fresh ingredients. Black owned. Affordable pricing. What's not to love? Call ahead during rush times otherwise you might end up waiting a while.

This place is home. I knew the previous owners growing up. The menu has changed but they don't disappoint on the service and customer care.

This place is actually the BEST DELI IN DC hands down. The Chef is meticulous with his sandwiches and takes a lot of pride in the quality and taste of his food. I highly recommend this place. We got potato salad, rueben, and chicken salad sandwich and everything was delicious. High quality food for affordable price.

It's so sad I've been to this place a few times. And everytime it has got increasingly worst. This most recent visit put the icing on the cake. My fiancé and I ordered a chicken sandwich and crab cake sandwich. After waiting 30 minutes I was informed my crab cake sandwich still was not ready after we were told this would only be 10 minutes of a wait. Instead of trying to do anything to remedy the situation we were told we would need to wait another 15 minutes. 45 MINUTES FOR A CRAB CAKE SANDWICH? That's absolutely insane. When my fiancé got his chicken sandwich it was cold and thrown together. Instead of offering anything for our inconvenience they told us "oh crab meat is high, there's nothing anything we can do here" We got a refund and left. We will not be back. This is sad as we truly wanted to continue to support this black establishment, but sadly the quality, service and professionalism that should be is simply not up to par. Extremely disappointing!

I can value and appreciate first hand d that this establishment is BLACK OWNED! Let’s not negate also the fact that they have some delicious menu options. I am a Vegan and to anyone else reading this that may be vegan the AW Veggie wrap was to DIE for. As soon as I made it home and took my first bite I immediately wished I had purchased a second portion. I am super proud of these guys and I am honored to give them 5.

The MLK Deli is a top tier carry out in Washington, DC; serving five star dishes. Team members are patient, kind, and knowledgeable about menu items. Management is community oriented, health conscious, and accessible. The ambiance is super cute with artwork painted and hanging on the walls paying homage to greats including Dr. King, President Obama, and Frederick Douglass. A plethora of food items are available from sandwiches to salmon cakes to garden salads to a banging grilled cheese! Yum!

The absolute only reason I can’t give this amazing establishment a 5 is because the salt content was too high and the potato salad.well. I’ll get to that in a second.

The stuffed salmon: delicious and salty. The wings: amazing and salty. Now the Potato salad: could even finish eating it after 1st bite: WAY too much garlic/garlic powder! I wonder if today was an “off” day. Now I’ll definitely return b/c it all about supporting our local small establishments and I do hope they’re mindful of this feedback.

First time I have been to the MLK Deli. I know crazy! The food was amazing! They honored several community women for Women month and served stuffed Salmon with lump crab and shrimp, over savory yellow rice and grilled brussel sprouts! I know where I'm going for my next meal!

Absolutely love this place. The owner and staff are absolutely AMAZING! It’s a traditional Delicatessen with a native Washingtonian flare. Love the vibe, love the food, and love that they are serving the community. And my food is always amazing

I started going to MLK Deli two years ago when I worked nearby. Always good customer service. My go to is the jive Turkey. Add chips and lemonade and it’s a delicious meal for about $10.

They also do specials on the weekends.dinner plates that are usually in the $25 range.

Of course the crab cake is what they are known for.

They’ve been solid for a couple years and also help out the community.

You can also get breakfast in the morning.

Overall yummy food that’s tastes fresh and is made to order.

Renovated. Clean. Nice customer service. Has a touch-to-order screens if you don't want to wait in the traditional line. Fast service!
