15Really tasty pizzas, especially the white pizza. Nice, thin crusts. And the Georgetown Salad is low key excellent. A great addition to the neighborhood
What an incredible pizza place! They have a great assortment of flavors and some unique ones like the Fichi, which has a fig spread! Their wood-fired pizzas have a delicious dough and I'm so happy with the flavor.
The restaurant has an incredible open layout and the staff are incredibly affable and friendly. Note that many of the employees are deaf, providing a chance to practice sign language and commmunicate with them in a different manner
Not impressed with this place. There were no notepads or anything to aid communication between hearies and the employees. We were only planning to have some pizza but stayed and ordered drinks since they had the UNC-Duke basketball game on. We were only there for about 45 minutes to an hour. We were asked to leave as soon as the second half started despite spending more than $75 because “people were coming” even though there were 6 tables open when we left. Food was okay but not spectacular. Definitely not worth being asked to leave.
Amazing pizza in my most favorite language. Everyone that works there is friendly and super patient when ordering. Highly recommend!
I came a long way on Metro for their 11th anniversary party and made it at 9: 30 and they had no party for me. Bummer. They promised 8: 30 to close and it was done. Disappointed
Make this a must-do in DC. The pizza is delicious, the bread sticks are to die for, and the tiramisu is a large portion and strong! The time lemonade is strong on the tyme-in the best way.
The kitchen manager is a sweetheart and so are the staff.
10/10 wish there were more of these in the states ️
I was D. C.snd was recommended this restaurant. I ordered Fichi Pizza and Ginger Iced Tea w/Lemon. It was delicious. This restaurant was a great surprise because come to find out it was run by folks or deaf, most of the patrons in a packed restaurant or deaf, or using sign language. I thought it was so cool. I’ve never experienced being around all that I learn some basic sign language when I was younger and it kind of motivated me to learn a little bit more because I want to communicate I did the best I could and it was still great. The service was awesome. My waitress was Monica, the other staff were nice too. The restaurant was clean the location was great. I was able to lock up my bicycle just outside. I recommend anyone trying this place even if you don’t know sign language, you can still communicate, if you just pause for a moment you can pick and understand what is being said. Plus they are patient with you for trying.
This place is great! Would highly recommend. I think it’s amazing that they’ve created a space for the hard of hearing but also regardless they have really good food and such a nice atmosphere.
We had a really nice time here. Our server was very friendly and the food was delicious. We had breadsticks and a Fichi and a Margherita Pizza.
I think it would be great if they had a single page with some basic ASL instructions, like letters or basic phrases like “thank you”. We looked it up online, to thank our server.
This place is super tasty and the staff are super friendly.
The eggplant parmigiana appetizer was fantastic.
A+
I wasn’t sure if we would have time to eat here on our trip to DC but I’m so glad we did! The food was good and the workers were all very friendly! We ordered a Nutella pizza and it was great! I’m so thankful the workers took the time to try to communicate with us even though we don’t sign super well. I assumed they would just have us write everything down but they took time with us and made us feel comfortable no matter what our level of ASL was. I would definitely come here again!
You will need to know at the minimum American sign language or be able to get in contact with an interpreter right away. Once you get pass that everything is great: Staff, Atmosphere, Food Preparation, drinks.
This place is fantastic.it's deaf friendly! The atmosphere is great and the food is great! It's worth the price! You can see the deaf employees working on pizza! It's great for deaf people and their friends to go here! It's enjoyable to see deaf people talking to each other with their hands!
Outstanding place. Open and inviting atmosphere. Loved ordering with sign language. Deaf owned and run, all staff are ASL users. Felt so nice to have a place where I wasn’t the “odd one out. ” Delicious meals - pizzas are individual sizes so if you go with a friend, each should order a separate one so you can try more variety. Definitely recommend the Fichi and the Buffalo chicken.
