Nando's PERi-PERi reviews
16You can’t make this up. Just walked in, asked to be seated. I was told that there was no seating available (however, there are two levels of seating). Then I was told there would be a wait of no longer than 30 mins. Here’s the kicker, I was told to go to Chick-fil-a.
I love Nando’s already but this is my favorite location! The employees are super nice & they checked in with us to make sure we were good. I will probably surpass the other Nando’s to come to this one.
Nando's chicken is so good. They know what they're doing. I got the 1/2 chicken and my husband got the Peri Peri bowl. Both were amazing. The chicken is cooked to perfection and the marinade was so good. We were both very happy and satisfied with our choices. We tried all the sauces and my favorite is the Peri Peri garlic sauce. The fries with perinaise is also very good and also gone by the end of our meal. The only thing that was a let down is the cauliflower but once we drenched that with Peri Peri sauce, it became bomb too.
Atmosphere is nice however a bit confusing. The decor elevates the restaurant. We were sat by our server and we are not from here so we didn't know that we had to order at the counter or online. We had to ask but it's okay, the food was worth it. Also it was kind of entertaining to watch people keep missing where the door was. You go inside the building and you get into a lobby. The restaurant side is all glass but find the protrusion on the glass and that's where the door is.
As for service, we had to ask for our utensils. They were scarce and not as friendly. But don't let that deter you, the food is bomb.
Please come to Los Angeles, CA!
I recently dropped by Nando’s in Washington DC and from the moment I walked in, it was apparent that cleanliness and hygiene were not a priority for this location.
The scene that greeted me was utterly appalling. *Every single* table was left in a state of disarray, with leftover food and dirty dishes scattered about as if the staff had abandoned their responsibilities. It was evident that no effort was made to clean or prepare the tables for incoming customers.
To make matters worse, the presence of flies everywhere, including the counter, was beyond disgusting. The fact that the restaurant allowed flies to infest the dining area and food preparation areas is absolutely unacceptable!
I decided to visit nando's because I am from South Africa and I was missing the taste of home. I must say I was so impressed. The meat tasted the same I got the classic half chicken. It was so delicious. I only wish they had the same sides we have back home. But overall I give it a 10 out of 10
The food was really good and the service was really quick too I loved the experience here!
The food here is classic and anything on the menu usually hits the spot. The wraps we decided to try this time and they weren’t as good as expected, the spice just wasn’t there. Also the corn was super dry, but still decent overall for the price and amount of food that you get.
The food was totally unexpected, we had the chicken and it was so juicy and flavorful. Totally recommend this place.
Terrible service, I waited about 15 minutes for someone to attend to me and no one did, they were more interested in talking to each other than serving people. We were 5 people and well, look, they all left without being attended to
I'd give this place zero star if I can. Got turned away by a very rude crew in the front who said that they don't have any table although 2 groups occupying 2 tables are obviously leaving already. He even said that there's a Chick-fil-a and Shake Shack around the corner. He obviously didn't want to serve us.
I was in this place thanks to a positive review and the experience was super good. I ordered family food they served me 3 trays I didn't think it was so much food. Had a whole chicken 2 skewers and 3 large plates. The truth is that the food tastes very good. I forgot to take the photo before starting. 100% recommended
The WORST! Employees here think they’re doing you a favor just by answering your questions.
There’re tons of great restaurants in DC. If Nandos no longer existed, we’ll all be just fine without you!
Nando's is the best food and we loved to dine in, at Washington DC, we did it in Vancouver too. The Chicken is very good!
Don't even go there, it's not like the Nandos we know and love! Made a large online order for a table where our friends were already seated. We got there and they said they didn't have our order although we had a confirmation number. The manager was of no assistance at all so we had to order and pay double. She gave me a fake customer service number which led me to a totally different company. The host was on his phone and refused to help saying he doesn't get paid for that. The server who took our order made a mistake twice then asked us to return one of the plates of food AFTER we had statted eating. It took 20minutes just to get Perinaise (a prepackaged sauce) another customer was complaining because they messed his simple order of a chicken wrap. The tables were dirty with used crockery sitting there for almost an hour. The chicken was dry. I have known and loved Nandos for years but this location is not good anymore. Not at all the kind of experience you would expect in Dupont circle or Nandos. Just save yourself the trouble and go to another location where you will get the stellar Nandos experience we are used to.
Food quality has gone down over the years. Don’t look forward to it as much as I used to. Food more bland and packaged feel.
Ordered a full chicken and got 4 pieces of white meat only.fries were soggy.chicken was dry.all this for a total of 60 plus dollars.unsatisfied and still hungry.
