Food is good. Open after every other restaurant is closed. Fish is fried perfectly.but Lines/wait ridiculously long. Big man who takes order extremely rude. I told my parents about location and they left after receiving the same bad attitude I received from the same man the day before. If you can stomach the poor service the food and price not bad

It is a super family place and the food is wonderful we love this food we recommend it 100% the flavors are unique we invite you to visit this place Oohh'&Aahh's in this place there is no specific food to recommend we recommend all of them it is delicious

I went there September 22,2023 on a Friday night. Start with the service was outstanding my waiter name was Gary, the food was hot and delicious. We had wings, catfish, baked chicken, greens, potato salad, Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious, The customers were very friendly and the staff was super professional and friendly. We’re from Philadelphia and Delaware and are coming back for Eagles vs Commanders game and will be stopping to eat. Tell the commander fan which is the others waiter he’s in for a long day on the 29th of October.

I had heard good reviews on this place, I feel like it's a hit or miss type of deal. Some of the food items that had been proclaimed delicious weren't even good on the day we visited. The potato salad was good! The cake (red velvet) was not. We were a party of nine. The folks that had turkey wings enjoyed those.

Had the food delivered. It wasn't the worse but I was expecting so much more. Truth be told the food was better the next day.

Everything about this place was great.the food, the service, and the atmosphere. My family and I were visiting from out of town, found this black owned restaurant and we were not disappointed. The wings with BBQ sauce were delicious. The baked chicken was flavorful and so tender. The Mac and cheese was also very good. The collard greens had a great sweet and spicy flavor. We had a great time with each staff member.can't wait to go back!

Still recovering from our meal (fried catfish and meatloaf), but we have enough energy in us to say, "Amazing food! "

The food wasn't fresh, turkey wings were dry and hard. Wasn't able to eat them. The cabbage and string beans taste like they came out of a can without any seasoning. Soul Food should be cooked with love and passion. There was nothing. Back in the day. They we're really good. Was a waste of money.

Food was definitely on point only thing I would suggest is a sit down spot in there it's only take-out and honestly food that good should be eating while it's hot

Catfish was great, chicken breast was awesome, meatloaf was a little dry. Crab balls were excellent! All my sides and my deserts were great!

The service was fast since I ordered on line. The greens was sweet with no flavor the turkey wings were dry. The fish was very salty. The Mac and cheese and yams were the best things I ate. Several flys in the place and it is very small inside.

Great fried chicken, yams were great, shrimp good, greens good, cabbage good, meatloaf a little salty, and green beans disappointing.

I like this location food but unfortunately, there is no seating available. Although it was a very small area.we need the seating area back opened post-covid.

Service can be hit or miss.but we are human, most times are good!

Dc’s version of Soul Food! Not the Soul food I grew up on in the south! Customer service was great though!

Absolutely fire and phenomenal food I couldn’t recommend a better place in the area. If it’s open you should try it without hesitation. Literally can not recommend enough the best meal I’ve had in the area.

Excellent food picked up for large family reunion. Creamy mashed potatoes, delicious Mac n cheese, tasty peach cobbler … the family members from Alabama and Ohio were impressed and delighted! Excellent service - the staff brought the large pans out to car at pick up time. Would recommend for large events or pick up for eat at home.

We had whiting, baked chicken, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes w/gravy, & potato salad. Everything was hot, fresh & delicious. They forgot the cornbread & the lemonade was underwhelming.

Line be out the door just like Chipotle used to be.so be prepared to be there for a good 40-45 mins! Smh. I was there last week and ordered the Turkey wings with Mac and cheese and greens. I also ordered an extra side of potato salad, but I didn't get it and was charged for it! (Which is bad for business) I don't live in the area, so I charged it to the game! I didn't realize it until I got home and I wasnt going back. It will be another year b4 I go there again! ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FOOD B4 LEAVING AN ESTABLISHMENT! I thought I only had to do that when I go to fast food restaurants like Wendy's and Popeyes.

Not sure if I caught them on a bad day or what. I’ll start with the short ribs are tender and flavorful but that was the only item I enjoyed. The greens were oddly super sweet and macaroni was so grainy I could barely stomach it. The cornbread was okay although not really a cornbread texture like not enough cornmeal but the flavor was good. I also tried the wings (plain) and the seasoning in the batter was decent but they definitely improved with lemon pepper.
