Perry's Restaurant reviews
17Great new chef offering creative delicious food. Favorites are the edamame dumplings, shrimp burger and seasonal salads.
Had a wonderful time. The performers were amazing and enjoyed every one. Looking forward to coming back.
Great atmosphere and attentive service and a meal made even better by delicious and creative food. The roasted peach salad, miso carbonara, Caesar salad, and sushi rolls were standouts.
Came for happy hour and left very pleased! 4 stars because the price is quite high— a caipirinha, kirin, two rolls + shrimp burger for $60, but it was all very delicious and the roof is nice and breezy and has a pleasant view.the shrimp burger was particularly unique and good, definitely indulgent though, and the sushi was solid, good fish to rice ratio.
I’ve also been for drag brunch and it is fantastic! Honestly a good value considering how expensive HH was. Extremely well prepared, high quality brunch foods + some unorthodox additions like karaage and yakisoba! The queens are great too— don’t forget to bring cash for tips!
Good spot. A bit expensive for what it is, compared to other places where you get just as good fish. Worth it if you sit on the rooftop on a beautiful evening.
Sushi was mediocre. We tried different combos but the quality was poor. The service was friendly but below standards for a 20% tip added by default on the final bill.
We ordered a bottle of wine for the 4 of us. The waitress served the WHOLE bottle in one round. After that, she took a bit of my wine and pour it in the glass of another diner to make sure quantity was the same
Cherry on the cake, there was a huge rat on the rooftop (don’t ask me how it got there)
The food was amazing but the service was even better. The bartender was so sweet and the bar manager was so friendly and kind.
Popular place with good Japanese-inspired dishes. The okonomiyaki was delicious. Also my first time eating omurice. Great staff service as well!
Given all the fabulous reviews, our expectations were high but were sadly dashed to smithereens. First of all - long wait to be served - we were served by the bar tender (who was wearing shorts - not my expectation for a farily nice ish restaurant with fine dining prices). No explanation of the menu or recommendations. All he said was the sushi orders are backed up by 45 mins. That should have been a cue to leave. We ordered the miso soup - it definitely came out of a packet.so sad. The roasted peaches were drowning in a grainy ricotta. Terrible. The edamame dumplings were over salted. The garlic fried rice was ok ish.i guess by now our standards were low.
The sushi then shows up and sadly they were less than mediocre. After a 45 min wait, I was expecting something better. We would have been better served at a less fancy sushi restaurant. There is an automatic 20% service charge which is added and there is a clarification that it goes to pay the wages of the front of house staff. So does the restaurant pocket all the profits and not really incentivize staff? Anyway not recommended. Wholly and fully disappointing.
Great drag brunch. Would go again but sadly they made a mistake with our reservation and we had to sit on some improvised bar.
One of the best dinner we had in a while in D. C! We came on a whim, no reservation, but they quickly sat us and from then on everything was just easy flowing, delicious, and exactly what we wanted. Udon clams noodles were to die for! So much rich, umami taste, I didn't want this dish to end. Sushi were also decent. A great casual night out overall.
Went for happy hour on my bday. Sushi was delicious but my bfs food came out like 25 min after my roll, bartender was sorta nice but didn’t seem interested in giving us any service. Just asked what we wanted and gave us bill in the end, odd considering they’re having built in gratuity. Overall I recommend coming in here but maybe get table service and have everyone order sushi only
Stepped up grocery store sushi on a nice rooftop atmosphere. Didn’t taste bad, but nothing special.
Maybe it was great 3 months ago, but many of the raved dishes are no longer on the menu. Just ok. Rooftop is super hot in the summer.
We came here for the drag brunch for my sister's bachelorette party. It was the best! Each person buys a ticket and it comes with entry and a buffet and then drinks are an extra charge. The drinks have fun names and the food was excellent! They had a large variety of foods and lots of vegeterian options. And the desserts were fantastic! The show was so much fun. The performers really get into it and sometimes pull people in from the crowd to dance with them. They even brought all the people up who were celebrating a birthday or bachelorette party and gave them each a shot and had them dance for tips. There were lots of laughs had. I would definitely come back and watch these talented, entertaining queens again!
We were overcharged for our drinks (menu said $14, we were charged $20) and they weren't even worth the 14.
We had dinner on their rooftop terras. Great find and worth a d-tour. They have a very nice selection of sushi’s as well as other Asian dishes. Prices are pretty reasonable. They also offer a happy hour at the bar. Good selection of wines by the glass and some pretty special cocktails!
