Point Chaud Café & Crêpes reviews
15Great little crepe spot, got the house special and was super satisfied. Can’t speak to the coffee game but they had a beautiful espresso machine setup!
A nice breakfast stop that's convenient for anyone staying in Georgetown. This place has a healthy variety of crepes and pastries to cure a morning hangover or get your day started on a high note.
Should be 4.5. Place is phenomenal, couldn’t have been happier with our choice of breakfast place. The only negative was that my wife asked for her Latte in a mug instead of a to go cup, and their 16oz mug is much smaller than the 16oz to go cup.
It doesn’t say it on the menu, but they allow you to add to any crepe, I added strawberries to the banana, sour cream, and brown sugar crepe. Delicious
Average/Good crepes. Coffee might come out burnt. Bad place to get work done if you don’t have headphones. They play the absolute worst pop music. Picture kesha + cardi B + whatever other generic bass heavy, up-beat trash you absolutely do not need playing while you’re trying to concentrate. Seems like more of a brunch spot during the summer and a pass-through quick coffee place in the winter. But… I think even if I was 5 mimosas deep I’d beg them to change the music.
My advice to mgmt: choose literally any station on any music platform that says “coffee shop”, and taste the coffee before you serve it.
Fast service and wide selection
Food-we visited in particular for the crepes. They had such a wide selection. We had to try both the savory and the sweet. On the savory we had the DC Brunch and the President. For sweet we tried the applesauce ricotta and the dolce de leche.
Ambiance-cafe style. French country decor. Spacious and clean. Bright corner shop with plenty of windows.
Cost-pretty pricey.
Service-fast and friendly. Did I mention they are fast. Less than 5 minutes from order to crepes on table.
Nice crepes but not very soft (maybe they are supposed to be like that). Good coffee. Very cozy vibe.
Beautiful little place, very clean, love the tile work, cozy. Food is good, I ordered the spinach and salmon quiche (little salty but v delicious) and hazelnut latte which was better than Starbucks.
Only thing that sucked was the customer service. The lady at the front was on her phone texting and wasn’t paying attention, I had to repeat the order multiple times and she still forgot to put my quiche in. The other two ladies were rude too, rolling their eyes.my friend ordered after me and they gave me her quiche, and forgot to make mine, I had to reorder cuz I guess she didn’t hear me ask for the quiche a third time. Then they forgot to make her cappuccino.
Nothing was interpersonal or kind about their interactions with me or her… I don’t even know why, I didn’t confront them or speak to them besides when I took my orders. Really weird.
It’s Dec 8, Thur, before noontime. I hope management confronts the issue, not a good look at all. You’re the face of the cafe, be nice and do your job.
Incredible service and delicious coffee. My favorite is the mochatella with almond croissant. Heaven!
Dont come here to work. I was in the middle of booking airline tickets when their wifi put my computer into blackout period.
I really like my coffee experience here. Our Coffee were nice. Cozy place. Quick and good service!
Had the DC brunch special crepe and the strawberry lemon dessert crepes; they were delightful! I’ve heard the coffee isn’t very good, but I didn’t try it—so keep that in mind—but the food was simply five stars!
I was looking forward to trying this crepe place. The crepes were good. However, the service from the woman at the register was unwelcoming. Would not go back.
Lovely staff and fresh, genuine crepes. Transported to southern France. Generous fillings. Fresh salad
Coffee is a bit on the pricier side but it's really good. Nice and cozy place to have a cup, chat or work. There's free WiFi as well.
What a jam we discovered in our neighborhood. It was a bit confusing to understand what is the name of the establishment because and because the title on the store Frank says something other than point chaud
I was a bit disappointed that they don't have a few staples that I'm used to wouldn't it comes to crepes. One of my favorites is some kind of a combination with lox. Unfortunately they only had tuna. But I enjoyed my DC breakfast and the sweet grapes were pretty good as well. The service was phenomenal and the gentleman at the register was really helping us out with recommendations. The interior was really quite beautiful with gorgeous photography on the walls. But it does have that feel of a cheap Establishment by having people order at the register rather than having waitresses and having a stash of dirty dishes in the plastic bins really killed the vibe. After all the registry prompts you to leave a tip of 22% but there is no service. I guess in my case it wasn't exception because they did bring the coffee over to my tableBut the dirty dishes clean up is definitely on the customer. I wish they would fix the menu to add some of the common staples like grapes Suzette that or with salmon. And getting some pretty waitresses wit says with cute uniforms might do them well.
