Providence Opticians, Inc reviews
8I have been waiting patiencely for my glasses since Dec, 1,2022. Here it is Jan 5,2023 and I still do not have them. Please do not go there because you might be waiting like me,
They are very rude I waited a month to figure out that I had faulty glasses they barely answer the phone don't go here, oh yeah the man with dreads had a very bad adittude I talked to him on the phone out side of the place and he had the nerves to come outside and sarcastically waved his hand goodbye so do your self a favor and don't go here
Walked in and the receptionist stared a hole into my chest with the burning contempt of a thousand scorned suns. No one answers the phone. Voice mailbox is full. Rude employees. Dirty and disorganized. Possible front business.
She told me they were aware the voicemail box was full, she was not sorry or going to do anything about it.
My favorite part was when she followed me into the streets to continue yelling at me that they had been in business for forty years, and I should worry about my own problems. I'd be shocked if they lasted another 40 days. I went out of my way to support a local business and this is what I get.
Not very professional Slow and provide information about their product would not recommend
Hands down, the best Opticians in D. C. They are family owned and fully functional … I love everything about this place!
I have been going to this location for years and the staff has always been professional I absolutely love the style of frames they provide. Please drop in if you'll in the area.
I sat through a contact lens and an eyeglass exam, by a pretty dry young woman with not much conversation or chit chat. She was very cold, and when I returned to pick up both prescriptions, It was only noted that she did the contact lens exam, which was not the case. The customer service levels at the 12th street location are very lax the guy who typically answers the phone needs a customer service review. He is condescending and he's been very dismissive and matter-of-fact, EACH and every single time I've ever inquired about anything and he's answered the phone. Not a good look, AT ALL. Never again. The ladies at the front desk when you enter are always cool. They're the highlight of any visit I've ever had.

The 12th Street NE location is not wheelchair accessible and staff are rude about it to boot. When my 16 year-old son and his caregiver tried and couldn't access the store, the staff member said that they could try on glasses on the sidewalk in the rain.
The staff member was nasty to our caregiver and then to me when I called to inquire about the incident. When I asked to speak to a manager, he hung up on me.
This was a humiliating and illegal experience for all involved.
