Not very good. Dough was too chewy and toppings were stale. There are better places in DC for a good Italian pizza.

Pizza was not bad but it wasn’t great. Atmosphere was lacking, probably due to the day and time we went (4 in the afternoon on a cold cloudy day).

Ordered two pizzas on Uber eats. I was very surprised when they arrived because they were very small for the price and looked larger in the photos online. The pizzas were 4 slices each, around $50 for two! Realized after the fact that the restaurant is up charging $8-$10 per pizza on the delivery apps. Absolute scam

Delivered via DoorDash, ice cold. Called the restaurant for a refund. They said to call DoorDash. DoorDash said to call the restaurant. UPDATED REVIEW - The restaurant offered a full refund, which I appreciate. Would love to try dine in.

Stopped in for a New Year's Day pizza. The pizza was good. The crust was soft and pillowy and the Mozzarella di bufala was just right. Overall a very soft and delicious Neapolitan pizza. The meatball panini was even better and probably my favorite of the two.

Solid 3-4 stars for decent, quick pizza.

Happy hour is a pretty good deal for this place. $13 pizzas, $6 apps, deals on beer, etc.

The crust had amazing flavor, however, the cheese and sauce were just ok. The middle of the pizza wasn't cooked as much as I would have liked, but the pepperoni had solid flavor. Arancini was okay at best - I would've loved for the sausage to have more flavor.

Not sure I'd want to pay full price for their pizza, but for happy hour, it's alright. Service was great and everyone was friendly.

We came here after seeing a favorable article in a local publication stating that Pupatella "has been recognized by an Italian-based critics group as one of world’s most excellent Pizzerias. ” We ordered a Formia salad and a Diavola pizza, and while the pizza was very good, the salad was just ok. Overall, this pizzería is very good.

Very tasty if slightly overpriced legit Neapolitan pizza! Knowledgeable and friendly staff, overall very Italian atmosphere except for the French cheeses in the menu, which is forgiveable if inauthentic. Pretty good beer selection, Luis is a master conversationalist it must be said. Anyways would recommend

Delicious Neapolitan pizza. Another review mentioned a “soggy” middle, and honestly for this type of pizza, in my experience at a variety of establishments that serve this style, it’s about 50/50 on whether or not they are a little soft centered but it never changes how great they taste. Fried mozzarella was good-can’t really go wrong with deep fried cheese. Taste, quality, speed and price was just right.

I have suffered this place three separate times. The first time, I got takeout, and the pizza was soggy. No big deal, I figured, it's probably better fresh. So the second and third times, I dined in and had two different kinds of pizza right as they arrived, without any delay, and they were still soggy and mushy. The crust had the texture of a tire. If this is what Neapolitan pizza is supposed to be like then I am staying far the hell away from Naples. Oh, their appetizers were mediocre as well.

Pizza tasted fantastic. Really pleased with the flavor, especially the dough. I went around noon on a Thursday and the place was empty. Food came quickly and I wasnt pestered the whole time. Loved it

It’s in my top two favorite places for pizza. I’ve been here by myself 3 times. The dough is perfectly soft and chewy. The corner it’s on is so cute, surrounded by beautiful houses and plants. The inside has blue chairs that are pretty cool.

I really wish to give this place a 3.5/5, but I would err towards 4 rather than 3.
I ordered a red sauce Neapolitan pizza. In my opinion, the base was soft and chewy with a little crunch, which I liked. The sauce was very well seasoned and flavorful. What I didn't like was how these came together. The pizza was a little too wet towards the middle, which made the base soggier as time passed.
It was an alright pizza if you don't mind the wetness.

I enjoy the pizza here, not really a lot of bang for you buck in terms of food but it is authentic Neapolitan pizza. Light fluffy thin crust pizza

Horrible service. Good pizza. Arrived with a party of 3 at 7pm on a beautiful day, and the restaurant had plenty of tables available. Standing in the doorway and asked the first server for a table. He said he would be right back. Waited. Second server came and said they were busy but he would see about a table. 3rd employee asked us after we had been standing for a while and we were seated. We waited at the table watching others get their meals, and were not given water before 7: 30, where we placed our orders. 1 Salad, 2 pizzas. The salad came and we had no forks or plates. On pizza came out, with still no silverware. I watched people so frustrated about trying to pay that they were going back to the kitchen to pay. I went back myself to get silverware, and ask about the second pizza, which we finally got at 8: 30pm. While there were several servers, and at least 4 at the oven, it appeared that only one server was actually taking an interest in customers having a pleasant dining experience. A disappointing night.

I can see why this is such a popular neighborhood pizza place across DC. It’s casual yet quality. Between the 3 of us, we shared arancini with eggplant. Super tasty and well prepared. Then we did two pizzas: a diavola and a prosciutto arugula. We enjoyed both equally. Their drinks were very satisfying as well. I’d eat here frequently if I lived nearby.
