Rasika has wonderful modern Indian cuisine. The restaurant focuses on Punjabi dishes and the food was fresh, made to order. My only issue was the service! The server was rushing us to leave the restaurant so they could get another table. It was a business lunch and the server brought the check as soon as we finished eating. They didn’t ask if we wanted anything further, we did! So we had to ask for them to bring the dessert menu. I am disappointed in the service here. Not sure if I will be back because of the way I was rushed through the meal and hurried out the door!

Very classy, great food, nice ambiance and a amazing servers all around. They only draw back was due to them being so busy food would not come to the table in a timely manner. So if you order appetizers you might feel very full by the time food makes it to the table. They did try to makeup for it by giving amazing free deserts though. Also if you have young children you might not find many option in the menu for them due to the type of the food and spices. Enjoy.

Gummy small undercooked lamb, spiceless food. Only positive was the bartender and the excellent service.

I wish I had spent this money at Heritage India.

We came for an early dinner and had an excellent meal. I suggest sharing everything at the table and enjoying a little bit of everything. Try something new and enjoy a specialty cocktail. Great service, fun atmosphere and excellent food I’ve never had Indian before and this was a great place to start!

I wanted to raise awareness of the ordeal I recently faced due to the poor management at this Rasika location. It goes in hand with the terrible valet parking service that is offered as well. I came to spend my birthday dinner at Rasika and had an awful experience as I was accused of hitting another valet parked car. I repeatedly told valet that I did not hit the car and was badgered by him and management. After going back and forth with management and valet and being harassed they finally went to speak with the other car owner just to find out that the dent in that car had ALREADY been there. Not only did the valet guy and management not take into consideration the trouble they caused us for my birthday dinner, they were not even apologetic towards me after all the harassment, cursing and badgering that took place. Rasika is a habitual dinner spot my friends, family and I go to but after this ordeal, I would not recommend anyone to go there. Rasika should really take into consideration that their management and valet service is terrible and they have lost many loyal customers.

Great restaurant! It has more modern design, and traditional Indian food. The desert menu is full of ice cream, the meats menu consists of chicken and lamb, great appetizers. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Visiting DC from out of town. Rasika was highly recommended and for good reason. Great staff and the food is excellent.

The food is delicious and superior to any other Indian restaurant I have been to in many years. However, the wait staff constantly interrupted our dinner by attempting to remove plates-even those that were not empty! They had clearly been trained to do this and the frenzy of grabbing hands detracted from the flow of conversation and made it almost impossible to relax and enjoy the food.

Wonderful authentic Indian restaurant in downtown Washington. Full complements to staff for being ao quick and efficient that made the entire dinning a beautiful experience. Three days in city we were missing the home food and wanted ro invite some local friends who feel Indian food are only about chilly and spices, thanks to authentic preparation the food was relished by all the people.

Had a great meal with my son tonight. First, my son was running late, so our server brought over complimentary puri and dips. We split the sweet potato samosa and scallops in chili as appetizers. Then Iwe split our entrees of chicken Tikka masala and a lamb dish. All were fantastic. The chicken Tikka is best I ever had and I lived in London for three years. Great food and great service.

Spectacular food—high quality and good portions. The service was top notch and quite attentive even on a busy Thanksgiving evening. This was my first time visiting and I look forward to returning.

Placed a carry out order and it was ready within 15 minutes. The Tikka was ON POINT. The best I've ever had. I'm ordering again
Definitely check it out!

Service was top quality, the atmosphere was divine, and I cannot recommend the cardamom ice cream enough. I was seriously blown away with my experience here.

Overall better than average, but having said that there isn’t much competition for Indian restaurants in dc. Their best dish is the daal. The chicken tikka masala needs more care and attention and can be pretty chewy and not worthy of the high standard of restaurant they think they are. This some of the dishes could be a lot better.

Their level of service has gone down significantly over the past 2 years. We were left unattended for over 45 minutes after our dinner was delivered, despite needing refills on cocktails and drinks. The bar was significantly backed up and clearly a wreck, causing long delays for drinks. I can’t say I’d recommend them over our local joint in Maryland any more. Both the food and service no longer command the premium in price over other Indian eateries in the DC area.
