Rosebar Lounge, Washington DC

Honestly, I have never been so annoyed in my entire life. I will NEVER come here again. The bouncers are too much. We got VIP and literally the bouncers were pushing us around because we were literally dancing on the floor BUT because we weren’t dancing in our section (keep in mind there is NO ONE HERE), we are had to move to our “section. ” This didn’t happen once or twice but EVERY SEDOND.

Horrible service, the staff pushed through us after being rude when we asked a question. They were unorganized and downright horrible I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere near this place. Barely anyone was there and the Dj was trash

So small. I went during the pride weekend and they had everyone packed in one spot while the other spots were closed off. It was crowded and they were telling people to stop blocking the hall way to outside being all rude but there was literally nowhere else to go unless you was sitting on someone lap. We left. It was ridiculous

Horrible experience. First time coming here and the level of class was much lower than expected. This place is extremely overpriced and there is no seating. The bar tenders are extremely rude and I was very disappointed. If you want an upscale experience and a great vibe go to the Park 14th instead.

I was physically assaulted by Nate the bouncer, who tried to extort my friend and I out of $40 after we showed him our free tickets to get into the club. Multiple people witnessed the event, the general manager Jen approached the scene and was not conducive to the situation. The police were called and I absolutely filed a police report!

Music was just wack honestly.
One point in the night all I saw was ppl just standing around either talking or on the phone no one was dancing. Dj did a terrible job.

Been here multiple times

The good: ambience, location, open on awkward days, potential is wild, clean, music is okay

The bad: service (awful), speakers too loud, security

Crowd: Depends on the day but usually a 21-35 crowd. Decent amount usually.

One of DC well known night clubs. You really can’t avoid this place but you should try to. This place needs someone with hospitality skills to come in and teach the bartender a thing or two.

The service here is wack. Worst one in DC. I went on a Tuesday and I could not get some water or ice! Without paying. The bartenders here hate individuals well being. The air quality was bad at the time due to the wildfire. I felt like I couldn’t breathe.

Do not come here unless you’re getting a section. This place is not worth the cover at all. Please make sure you are getting in for free.

Lighting needs work and some proper operation.

Bartenders are great but security is terrible.

It’s a nice place but it gets sooo packed and crowded. People are so pushy and it threw the vibes off.

I would say the culture of this place mimics DC culture in general. Smug, condescending, overpriced for lackluster returns, and an obvious hankering for a certain aesthetic wanted behind the bar. The unfriendliness of the staff and security is so disconcerting it almost makes you physically sick. This isn’t particularly my preference for a good time but a friend from out of town wanted to check it out. Wouldn’t recommend, the poor ratings are accurate and the lack of apologies from the owner says even more.

I visited Rosebar as a guest of a host for the evening. There was a lot of contradictory information given to both myself and the person who was marketed as a host on the business’s instagram page. I was told to arrive at 11pm, shuffled through a mass of people and stuck at a table in a corner of the room, without any staff acknowledgement for over an hour and a half. Upon initial service from a staff member, any additional help was unattainable, as it was clear we did not have a dedicated server. When our group asked for assistance, requests were ignored or worse, met with rude comments from the staff. When myself or the host expressed confusion with the night’s expectations, the staff was extremely off-putting, were unwilling to help reach a solution and it appeared that the management staff and bartender/bottle service staff where not at all on the same page. Truly, it was an unacceptable experience when money is being paid for a VIP experience. I will not be returning to Rosebar and will not be recommending the establishment to any of my friends or colleagues, of which have expressed interest in getting feedback from me prior to being patrons themselves. It was truly a disappointing and truthfully, an unacceptable experience when a VIP experience was expected.

It's been 9 years since I've been to Rosebar Lounge. I liked how they had a lounge area with roped-off seating as well as a rooftop with ivy and rose walls with paintings. The DJ had a great playlist. My friends and I enjoyed drinking, dancing, and singing. Compared to drinks at other bars, I liked how the mixed drinks were stronger. With our event wristbands, we enjoyed Miller Ale and $5 Gin & Pineapple Juice.

First time at this club/lounge. Bartenders overall personality seemed standoffish. Nobody really attentive or communicating in a manner that feels welcoming. There was a bouncer who was aggressive and knocked my cigar out my hand. I kindly tapped him to get his attention but he continued to pester some females. A head nod or an apology would of sufficed. Then while entering and existing the section he kept stopping me to travel alongside of my group. Then he was touching me inappropriately to stop me from entering rather than just using his words/simple communication saying, “give us a moment”. I was not intoxicated or anything but the atmosphere is just trash overall. DJ’s are a hit or miss honestly. 1 star for such a mediocre experience it’s 2023.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! This place only hires light skin or mixed girls! They have been called out so many times for this on social media but they delete comments and avoid addressing the issue. It’s very sad because DC is known for it’s black culture, yet it’s ok for our black women to come there and spend their money but not good enough to hire? ! I hear they’re currently hiring for lost society, let’s see how many black women that interviewed actually get a job lol! I’m sure it will be all light skin or mixed women like rosebar! I wish our black community would stand together and stop supporting their clubs until they hire more women of color!

Paid over $1000 for a section and had to wait outside in line while people went in ahead of us for $20. We get in they take 2 hours to bring our bottles. Music was decent

My friend and I went for New Years Eve and from the beginning we were treated like royalty. Walked throughout by a promoter, escorted to our designated section by security, the bartender (I forgot her name but she’s a gorgeous tall blonde woman) was so attentive and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The music was on point and Ashley who I think may be the manager was the absolute best! She really took care of us! The bottle girls were so much fun. Our experience was amazing! Thank you to everyone there for everything!

Love rosebar, best club in dc. Not a club for cheap people, I feel safe in there because security is thorough & the service is immaculate.
