Bakery Sharbat reviews
16The Napoleon cake is simply incredible. Everything is great, but that stands out above the rest!
I've had their baklava, pastries, and now their apricot cake, and everything is consistently amazing!
Azeri/central Asian pastries and cookies made with love by hand. This is the real deal. The taste is different from European pastries, it's much less sweet/salty, but real ingredients & wonderfully puffy & really like home-made if your grandma was Azeri & could bake well. I really don't know any other shops in DC where you can get this kind of artisanal patisserie. They also do some nice looking breakfasts though I haven't tried them.
This is a bit of a mixed review. Our whole purpose to go to this store was the advertised Honey Cake. After walking 1 1/2 miles, we were told there was none and the soonest it would be available was on a Tuesday, which was two days away and the night before we were flying out. Talk about disappointing. We were able to find plenty of other pastries but was disappointed to find the one savory pastry did not make it into our box of pastries. Pastries we did find were good. Recommend calling ahead to verify they have what you are looking for…also, check your bag to ensure you have everything.
I had the beef sausage egg dish. So delicious, can’t stop thinking about it. Quick service and quality food
A must stop anytime we’re in the neighborhood and I miss living nearby. All of their pastries and cakes are amazing! Deserves every bit of 5 stars!
Loved this very cute place! The tea and pastries were delicious and the place has some great Azerbaijani heritage
Very sweet place!
nice ppl working there, their Turkish baklava is so delicious
However! I am an Azerbaijani myself and their treatment of -LGBTQ is not nice …
I think public opinion is negative!
No doubt their cakes are good but the customer service is beyond horrible and I have serious questions about their hygiene. The lady behind the counter was coughing and when we purchased a slice she used bare hands to pick up the cake bottom. I requested that she wear gloves and she became extremely annoyed and literally dumped my cake slice in the container. Also saw her use the gloves to touch the register and then pick up other baked goods. But worst part was her rudeness. Decided never to go back and spend my money there again. There are plenty of friendlier and tasty bakeries around. Will also get in touch with the health dept about this place.
Very beautiful decor and easy to find! The lovely lady that helped us was attentive and very nice.
I love how moist the caramel cake was, my mother got the raspberry cake.
I would recommend this bakery!
I would travel a long ways for the honey cake. It is amazing! Plenty of other tasty baked goods as well. Always exciting to see what they have each time I go.
Friendly service and delicious savory and sweet pastries. Will have to come back to try the cakes
Fabulous quality at this friendly, family run bakery and cafe. Great sweet and savory options, including scrumptious dumplings.
Love happening upon quaint little bakeries/cafes like this and it didn’t disappoint.had the baklava and badambura and both were amazing. Lady working was very nice and gave great recommendations. Will certainly come back next time we’re around AdMo
Hidden gem of 18th Street. They have delicious traditional sweets and food from Azerbaijan. The honey cake is so good
