Mediterranean Restaurant Shemalis reviews
15I eat lunch here all the time. Always a friendly greeting. And food is always reliable and yummy!
I ordered my food at 11: 30 and stated I want to pick-up at 12: 00pm. When I went back to my office, which in the same building on 3rd floor (they are on the first floor. My fries were cold and the meat was room temp. I have given this place 3 times (plus tips) and only once did they do it right. #neveragain
Ordered 3 days ahead of time and order was not ready as promised. Had to wait for my order.
Tucked away in a mini-mall that used to be an office complex, it's worth the search! Delicious Mediterranean cafe' with eat-in, grab-n-go and online ordering options. Also a good selection of Mediterranean food and spices in their marketplace.
If you like Middle Eastern food, head to Shemali's. There are two locations, but this one is along New Mexico Avenue NW. It's inside Foxhall Square, a small shopping complex.
Walk to the back and find a market with a food counter in the back where you can order hot food. There's a grab-and-go area with dips, hummus, stuffed grape leaves, and other items.
I stopped in for veggie stuffed grape leaves and meat (beef) pies. Both were very tasty and were fresh.
Service is kind!
They have great shawarma. The only thing I don't like is that they only have 4 tables that each seat 2 people.
So many interesting choices! Tried the chickpea salad today, delicious, tangy, full of flavor. Highly recommend.
As a student at American, this is my go to. The portions are always generous for the price and the food is consistently well prepared.
Food is fresh and tasty, love the Swiss chard lentil soup too. Nice little pantry there with huge range of dried goods and spices as well.
Really disappointed. Great food but they raised their prices and made their wraps half the size. Won’t be ordering from here again.
Had delicious chicken shawarma and Swiss chard lentil soup from here. Still dream about that lentil soup. They also have really affordable imported groceries as well. Highly recommend!
There is no more dine-in.
The customer service is excellent!
The food is delicious.
Friendly staff.
Not enough choice of Lebanese products for my taste: desserts are lacking on the menu.
I wish they were bringing back the Breakfast Manoushe.
Outstanding flavors, textures, simply delicious baba, kabob, everything.and super friendly to boot! A hidden gem in this quirky mall. Highly recommended!
Born in Washington, and knowing the falafel scene extremely well, I can say hands-down, this new spot takes the crown. It's the best falafel in Washington unparalleled by anyone else! Fresh baked pita bread, and an extremely tasty, and perfectly cooked ball. This is my new go to spot
