Souvlaki, Washington DC

Authentic Greek food in a really cute, clean place. The spreads were amazing and the yogurt with sour cherry is fantastic. The staff was really friendly and helpful too.

Friendly service. Eco friendly plates, silverware and cups. Greek fries were amazing and baklava was so delicious I had to order another piece to go.

My son got the the lamb pita wrap and loved it. I loved the chicken pita wrap. Fresh. Tasty. Definitely coming back.

Ordered food from this place. It was good. But then we noticed a cockroach in the salad. Disgusting.

The food is great but leaving this review to hopefully get the attention of the owner/manager—please update Uber eats so that the 2 side options must be chosen from 2 separate lists instead of one list. Most times I want my two sides to be the same-but I have to select two different items from the list and then CALL the restaraunt to tell them what I actually want. Please also include the option to select a salad dressing. I also have to call each time to ask for the dressing I want. And most times there is never a salad dressing in my bag at all if I don’t call.

Really good souvlaki platter. More food than I could finish! The pork was slightly overcooked but it didn't ruin the meal at all. Friendly service. We were the only ones dining it, but it wasn't weird. Popular take-out spot. Would def go back.

This place never lets me down. Fresh cooked meat every time. Don't let the $$$ scare ya. It's affordable and delicious. I get lunch here 2 or 3 times a week. The spicy feta sauce is fire! Plus they throw fries in the pita! This place absolutely Destroys the Greek spot my former goto.

Great food and great service. Definitely check out the wraps. Perfect late night meal. And geh tyropita was awesome.

Very good gyro with tsatziki sauce and fresh fries. They use skewers, not the one you shave but it was delicious.

We were denied service. Disappointing. Restaurant was empty at rush hour.

I’ve had better Greek food, and the service was the absolute worst. Guy at the front was so rude and was uninterested in answering menu questions.

Refusal of service.

Why? Couldn't put 2 tables together. TWO.

Not okay. Bad business. Very, very bad business. Learn from this.

Can’t recommend Souvlaki enough. To start, the food is incredible. The souvlaki platters come with a generous amount of food and the fries stand out as a side that make you want to order them again. The salad was fresh and the meat was cooked well - perfectly charred on the outside and tender on the inside.

Outside of the great food, what makes Souvlaki stand out is the great customer service. I ordered a pick-up meal and, after having picked the meal up and returned home, I found that I had received somebody else’s order. This is a totally understandable mistake and I expected to have to accept my fate and not hear anything else, as I wouldn’t with most other DC restaurants. BUT, soon after I realized what had happened, I found that the Souvlaki manager was calling me offering to make my real order again fresh even though I had already eaten some of the wrong order (I didn’t report that I had gotten the wrong order). I ended up going back and receiving my full original order - I almost felt bad at how good the customer service was. Super rare, especially in DC! Souvlaki and its employees went above and beyond.

Would give Souvlaki 6/5 stars if it was possible. Highly recommend!

I come here maybe once a week and it is always fresh and delicious. Everything is made to order and wonderful.

I made a mistake with my pickup order once and they were incredible in fixing the order even though it was 100% my fault. 6/5 stars for customer service.

Also Best spanakopita I’ve had outside of Greece itself.
