I wouldn’t even call this a liquor store.it’s a store that sells an experience by the libation connoisseurs, Ray & Vinnie.their energy is infectious and their knowledge of wine and liquors is impeccable!

not only have they suggested great wines that’ll pair well with food; they’ve also gotten me out of trouble with my lady quicker with their selections

from the tastings that they hold weekly to the energy and culture of the store, there’s nothing not to love.i love whenever i’m able to visit!

S&R Wine and Liquor not only has the best prices and selection, the owners work their butts off to make sure you are happy and informed. This type of service is a rare find. I would give them higher rating if I could, because I now model my customer service after theirs. I especially recommend for high end gifts.

My go-to place for wine recommendations, especially when gifting. Vinnie is the nicest and incredibly knowledgeable. I always feel like I’m getting the best recommendation, not just being pushed to buy the most expensive bottle. The location is also super convenient to the Red and Blue/Orange/Silver lines or for anyone working downtown.

Amazing! These guys went out of their way to help me find a special and very hard to find gift for a friend. Responded quickly to emails, held the gift aside for me (although it was in high demand) and were super kind and friendly when I got to the store. Great local business. Be sure to stop in- you will not be disappointed.

One of the best stores in DC in my opinion. The super friendly and inviting staff is extremely knowledgeable and willing to share their knowledge and stories with you to get you the bottle you want. They offer tastings occasionally and are not shy to share their offerings, could not recommend this place enough!

Vinnie makes you feel like a long lost friend and ensures you know what you're getting. If you don't know what you're looking, he's going to find and it's going to be a good time along the way.

Excellent selection with fantastic customer service but.the prices are on the high side. From a whiskey perspective, whoever is doing the ordering understands what the enthusiasts want. If the prices were 10 to 15% lower, it would easily be a 5 star establishment.

This place is amazing. I had been to 4 liquor stores in search of specific items before being referred to S&R. Oh my goodness what a selection! But even better than the alcohol are the owners, Vinnie and Rick spent time describing the various labels and made me feel like family. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon?

The owners provide amazing service and are very knowledgeable. They are also very nice and don't make you feel pressured to buy anything.

Given the level of service it could be an expensive place, but the prices are not bad at all, some items are very competitively priced.

Also, they have a huge selection. So if you want to get something that is hard to find then this is the place. One of the owners even said he would order something if they don't carry it.
