Swing's Coffee, Washington DC

The food here is amazing, fresh, tasty and I loved the way they offered a little side dish with a lot of the orders. I had the fresh fruit each time.absolutely delicious. With so many food chains in Washington this was s great find.

Four of us went and ate outside. Lovely patio and I had a delicious Santa Fe Chicken Salad (I don't say that about most salads). I'd go again even if the guy taking my order wasn't happy to be there.

This is a good place for connoisseurs or anyone who takes coffee seriously. It appears as though they pick a few bean types each day and highlight them. We went with a few discerning friends and they all agreed it was very well made. You can get espressos, macchiatos, mochas (made with actual chocolate shavings), hot chocolate, or a variety of teas too.

Swings in DC brews a very consistent and good cup of coffee. It’s location is just steps from the White House. You can also pick from a variety of pastries to go down with your coffee. The shop is small but there are some seats to sip away your day. Swings roasts their coffee and is knowledgeable on all things coffee. This company has been around for years and is worth a visit if you happen to find yourself in Washington and in need of some caffeine.

I walk 4 blocks out of my way just to have a cup of Swings coffee. Such a good smooth roast. The staff is always friendly and always efficient. A great place to make part of your daily routine

Good coffee and service. Selection of pastries is not great, but highly recommend for coffee lovers as their coffee is one of the best in the area.

Awesome quality. On par with the “speciality” coffee shops of bigger cities like NY, LA and chicago.

The coffee was fine but the servers were incredible rude. Ten minutes before closing at 5pm they blasted deafening music to get us to leave. As I walked out the door I realized I had left my charger behind. They ignored me, then yelled at me as I kept knocking. The building manager finally had to go in and get the charger for me. Never spending my money there again!

Dropped in here for a short coffee before a Salesforce event in the area. Friendly staff and great coffee! They gave me a complimentary espresso for saving a wasp by catching it and releasing it outside.

When in DC I will come back!

The coffee shop was clean, the stuff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My cappuccino was amazing.

Good spot for decent coffee. Nothing to brag about, but staff is pleasant. They have quality espresso machines. Their beans are a blend of Brazil and Guatemala beans. In Americano you can feel the cheap beans, but their Cappuchine hides it well, and it actually tastes very good.

Great coffee spot near all the tourist spots, high quality beans and equipment. Great design and style. Bought beans and look forward to trying them.

Usually solid espresso but maybe a little more inconsistent these days. Still one of the better options in the area.

Dang, what a great find. Latte was awesome, iced coffee the best I’ve had. Blueberry scone was so good can’t wait to go back for another.

14th street’s best kept secret! Go here instead of the Starbucks up the block. Their coffee is way better and there is rarely a wait. They have some tasty pastries too. Only downside: there is very little seating so it’s only good for grab-n-go, not necessarily for a study session or meeting.

Really great and not crowded! Tucked away so it doesn’t get a bunch of foot traffic which is nice, especially during the work week. Super friendly staff and great cold brew (not too overwhelming strong like some places). Great aesthetic and floors too!

They use Pacific Chai vanilla in powder form for their chai for which they charge $3.50. Will update review once I try the coffee but not a good move on the chai.

Service was great. Coffee was good as well. Its on the stronger side which was great for me but a little to strong for the wife. I enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the music. Employees were friendly and fast. Better than Starbucks in my opinion.

One of my favorite roasters in the area. They have a few decaf varieties, all of which are delicious.
