Tatte Bakery & Cafe reviews
15Croissant was not fresh at 10am. It’s an American style bakery and the quality is not consistant.
Amazing brunch, fresh breads and pastries. My go to place for cakes and desserts. The coffee is also Stumptown and amazing. We need more Tatte bakeries and cafes!
Very good food at a good value, with fast and friendly service in an anesthetically pleasantly environment. Came here several times during my trip to the area and would recommend
I've written about another Tatte location in DC before, and it wasn't that good of a review. But this latest trip to DC, I stopped by this location and had a much better experience overall.
I stopped here for breakfast while on travel to DC. I had the salmon, avocado, and egg sandwich. It was so good, I had to come back the next morning and have it again! I also had a Latte that was delicious. Skip Starbucks and get your coffee here!
We really have been trying to love Tatte, the décor and design is great, pastries are amazing and the food is almost there, except:
- The food often comes out cold
- Coffee last time was only lukewarm by the time it arrived.
- It seems the company is not taking the time to properly train the staff?
Basically the place is hit or miss, the chain seems to have grown too fast, there are probably some locations that have better service than others?
Come on Tatte, get it together!
My kid tried the apple pie and she loved it, it got a little messy because we walked from our hotel, I tried the roasted pear granola and it was creamy sweet and crunchy, just what I needed.
Very cute and cozy with delicious pastries and drinks.
Tried the kabocha squash latte and it was surprisingly delicious. The lemon meringue tart was incredible, as was their walnut brownie.
4/5 because their chairs were a bit uncomfortable but otherwise would definitely go back and try more selections.
The food here is amazing. We each got a bakery item and bread dish, the pesto flatbread with mozzarella and tomato was great and the scrambled egg plate with tomatoes and goat cheese mousse was incredible. The employees were all great and service was quick even though it was busy. Surprisingly the coffee, which I got black, wasn’t my favorite, but I heard the lattes are good.
Was excited to try Tatte for the first time, but got two teas with the tea tag still attached to the bag and sitting in the water, and an apple cake with raw batter in the middle: (
Had a TABLT for lunch one day and a breakfast sandwich the next day Both were awesome in a clean space with nice location
Iced coffee and an americano were both nice As well
First visit and I would recommend. All the good looks amazing! Almond cappuccino was great. Pumpkin loaf was delicious. Sit in the window and people watch. Will return next time I’m in town!
Came for brunch on a Friday and tried the potato, mushroom, bacon shakshuka. Super delicious with the sourdough slices and took part of it home to finish. It had me full for the whole day. The atmosphere is a little chaotic due to the busyness but the service was still decent. I like the open space and natural light from all the windows.
This review is for breakfast only.
Pros: Bright, nice decor (white marble), spacious (many tables to eat at), great baked goods (everything looked good to eat), food tasty.
Cons: very busy (even though many tables, we had to wait for one) also had to hover and compete to get a table if dining in (no hostess to help)
-order your food at the cash register (so you better know what you want prior or else you may feel pressured when so many others are waiting behind you (I know because I did) I’m not a fan of this system, rather have a waiter/waitress.
-if dining in, a stand with a number given for food and coffee orders, and food/coffee is brought to your table
-tables for breakfast not cleaned quick enough. Had to search for a worker to request cleaning.
Overall, the food and coffee is excellent, just wish it wasn’t so chaotic. 4 stars because of the food or else they would have gotten 3
The food and drinks taste great, and the decor is lovely with lots of natural light. However, this place is chaotic with criminally overcrowded seating, and the staff are terrible. It's been a while since I've encountered restaurant staff who cared this little about customer service.
