Ted's Bulletin reviews
25My wife and I decided to have a nice romantic meal out our first night in D. C. Ted’s Bulletin was great! The meatloaf was fantastic. I would also highly recommend the handmade pop tarts!
Ted's has an awesome breakfast selection. The lunch and dinner menus are full of delicious comfort food. Be sure to try a shake when you go!
The service was great, as always. Cheesy grits were SPOT ON, as were the grilled cheese and tomato bisque! The eggs were over cooked (video attached), as they didn’t gush all that goodness over the toast when I cut into them. My chaipuccino tasted as if there was no chai at all. While the server tried to make it right and brought me a new one, it simply didn’t have that smooth, just the right hint and balance of sweetness and espresso, taste as on previous visits.
It’s a DC staple but not the one for me. They have an extensive menu (lots of fresh fish) but I was abstaining from meat so I ordered the veggie burger. The veggie patty was sloppy and flavorless, crumbled when I gripped it- sorely disappointed.
I came on a Sunday and it took about 40min to seat us. The servers were very kind and professional. I was able to find street Parking easily (free on the weekends).
Love the Gatsby decor. Again, I think I ordered the wrong thing. Maybe they are a 5 in the pop-tarts and milkshake department, but veggie patties- no.
Yum! I enjoyed my late breakfast at Ted's. I ordered the Mini Chicken biscuits and as you can see from the picture, they are far from mini! I imagined something about the size of Chickfila's chicken minis, of which 3 is merely a snack. Ha! Well, I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed my biscuits. Maurice was our waiter and he was quite good. My husband ordered the Jon's Omelette or something like that. He didn't speak much while eating, so it must have been tasty.
$35 for two great breakfasts and tea. I will return!
