Tequila & Mezcal, Washington DC

Good food, great service, prices are a little higher than other places in the area, but you're paying for a higher quality meal. The mood lighting could be better, the overhead lights make it feel a bit like a doctor's office. Besides that, great restaurant!

Recently stumbled upon Tequila & Mezcal and will forever call this place my go-to for Mexican. Love the beer ‘n’bump and the hibiscus/classic margs on their happy hour menu. Definitely try the birria trio platter and the beef tongue… the most tender and tasteful meat you’ll ever have! And you know it’s the best when mama is cooking right next to the bar

Enjoyed the tequila flights and the food very much. My whole party (5 of us) all had good things to say above the food and drinks. Would recommend for sure

It's an unassuming place but I enjoyed eating here. The service was good as was the food and the portions were nice. I was full and happy when I left. Our server was attentive and the staff knows their tequila and mezcal. I look forward to going again. Check out the cool murals on the walls.

Still excellent service, nice atmosphere and plenty of outdoor seating but did wasn't as good as before. All the meats in the Fajita Mixta were dry.

My friend is a big fan of this restaurant and wanted to take a group of us to try it. The tacos were very well seasoned and it left us wanting more. I guess I wished there was another tortilla under or more filling. The churros were very enjoyable, although the chocolate was more like a syrup rather than a thicker consistency. Finally, I personally enjoyed my drink a lot (the catrina), my friends mentioned wanting something stronger. I'd love to come again!
