The Big Board reviews
20Has turned into a tourist trap. Bummer because it used to be pretty good local option a few years ago. Unfortunately it went completely off the rails. The fact it’s basically empty all the time tells you all you need to know
Really excellent burger and the two guys running the place really get the concept of low-key, super friendly customer service.
Greeted immediately. Food arrived in expected time. Entree presented well on custom plate. Good food. Pleasant crowd.
Amazing burgers! The toppings were honestly pretty lacking, but the meat was to die for! Will definitely be going back again just for that. Just ask for extra toppings!
Grifter takes advantage of low-information folks who don't live in DC - news at 11. Used to be my neighborhood spot until the owner decided he was more interested in begging for money to "fight the power", which he didn't do at all. By all accounts, he pocketed tens of thousands of dollars, lost their ABRA license, closed the shop for months, and left town to do interviews with talking heads. But by all means, tourists, please come into Northeast DC to pay $14 for a hamburger so you can tell your buddies back home that you supported a real patriot.
The concept used to be how the BIG BOARD beer prices would change to reflect supply and demand. The actuality is that the beer prices hover within a quarter of each other and never really change substantively. Politics aside, it's not a good deal. Catfish bites are decent - too bad I won't be back to have them.
Great local sports bar with good food options at reasonable prices. My husband and I come here regularly and always have a great time. Burgers are always delicious, I had the salmon burger last visit and it was good. Friendly staff.
Visited last weekend as our daughter is doing an internship in DC. It was close to our Airbnb and just wanted to stop for drinks. Next think we knew we were having the best time with both the fellow customers and bartenders. Good folks. Also had some great drinks. We only ate the fried pickles were typical, but fine.
Lost their liquor license for not following DC COVID rules. The food here isn't worth it.
There are plenty of other amazing restaurants in DC I would recommend going to instead.
I will not be supporting them.
I really enjoyed this venue.
Very friendly and over all very clean.
Fast service and really good food at fair prices. Polite and friendly atmosphere.
Finally made it to this fine establishment after reading about the true patriotism of the freedom-loving owner. God took care of them, as Eric stood for what he's about, being a restaurant open to all who eat good food. Being a D. C.native, this touched me deeply.
The nice thing is the food is yummy and the service was the best. Bill upstairs made us feel at home. Meeting Eric was an honor and a treat. Thank you, The Big Board, for giving me a new go-to burger spot in D. C. And thanks for the gluten-free bun! See y'all soon.)
Love The Big Board. Not only is their food great, and service top notch, but they are one of the most equitable and inclusive places in D. C. Keep it up!
Amazing place, with an amazing burger. Big up to them for standing against these unconstitutional mandates. You have my full support.
Only place in town where I won't be segregated like some criminal. Will definitely be coming back for the great food and drink
Incredibly friendly staff and delicious food. They never disappoint and are a staple for the neighborhood. Thank you for all you do!
Best burgers in DC! I get the Port D’Amasterdam and Buffalo wings… SO GOOD. I love how their burgers aren’t greasy or messy, so many burger places over do it and make them so hard to eat. Not here, so delicious!
Amazing food, inexpensive but quality beer selection, and chill atmosphere! The burgers here are a must - there are so many inventive combinations to choose from. The wings were also some of the best I've had in DC, and the ranch is the BEST. Servers were also super attentive and friendly. It was easy to get a table here on Friday night, which was a plus!
Chill place on H street for drinks and bar food. Have plenty if TVs for different games, and an interactive drink pricing menu for draft beers.
Great local bar. The staff are friendly, the beer is varied and interesting, and the burgers are the best around for the price.
Great food and great service. I got the blue cheese burger and fried pickles and everything was perfect. Highly recommend if you want a good sports bar with delicious affordable food and friendly service. I will be going back
Place is awesome- wings were best I have ever had chic sandwich was unreal good. Beers are good staff was on point and the outdoor patio is clean and safe
