The entire meal was good, but the crispy kale was incredible. I've eaten a lot of Indian food but never had a dish like that.

Love this place! The food is consistently fantastic - the lamb chops are probably my favorite - and it has a very posh DC established club vibe. The live piano a few nights a week makes it feel even more special.

I was in a meeting in the restaurant and the manager named NADEM jumped in and he was like you can't be talking on your device in the restaurant
Nadem was super rude and his attitude was very poor and them he started arguing and that was so disrespectful STUPID management.

Went here when my sister was visiting. We ordered a bunch of stuff. I only liked actually loved the malai chicken tikka. The veg thali was not appetizing and not well balanced, the lemon drink was just too sour.
It wasn’t a cheap place so I would recommend to go to Rasika

Such a lovely ambiance which is made especially elegant and inviting with Richard, the incredible pianist. It’s worth the small servings and high prices when you are listening to his gorgeous music. The food was all delicious and fresh. We ordered the avocado Dahi Puri chaat in little pasteries. Serving was much smaller than we usually get for a chaat bit oh so delicious. Also enjoyed the butternut squash samosas—so unique. Our vegetable thali was wonderful. They don’t provide hardly any of their gorgeous lemon rice with it so you have to order and pay for more. No additional complimentary rice like in most Indian restaurants. Every bite was sumptuous. Their mango lassi was unlike any we have ever had—disappointing for us as it wasn’t sweet and was filled with chunks of cardamom. But others in the restaurant seemed to enjoy it. The deserts weren’t our cup of tea but we don’t come to Indian restaurants for desert. The service was excellent with our waiter who was able to seemlessly be attentive to so many tables simultaneously. It was
Important to him that we be happy and we appreciated that. We can’t wait to come back and have more of this delicious food while listening to the beautiful piano music.

I was visiting Washington DC from London UK with the family in June 2023. The Bombay Club was walking distance to our hotel (Capital Hilton) therefore we wanted to try dining here. It's literally around the corner from the White House. The Bombay Club was one of our main highlights of our trip. The restaurant is a top class restaurant with an excellent variety of food options. We went for the Thali which was delicious. There was a piano player in the background which contributed to us enjoying a nice atmosphere with good ambience. We intentionally had our last meal at this restaurant because I wanted to save the best for last, in terms of restaurants for our trip. I will definitely visit again if I visit Washington DC in the future.

Booked a table and waked into the restaurant. At the front the guy refused to sit us because we had a 3 year old. State in bold letters in the website or dont let people reserve with kids at the first place. Do better!

If I had the option of giving zero stars, I would give this restaurant zero stars. We went to this restaurant at 6: 30 pm and it was empty but in spite of this we were told there is no table available inside and we would have to sit outside which we agreed to. We ordered our food which is overpriced but we wanted to try the food. Mosquitoes were biting us a lot and my husband requested if we could sit inside as there were too many mosquitoes and we would not be able to enjoy our dinner in peace. They refused and we left. In my experience Rasika is the best Indian restaurant in DC. Please do not patronize this restaurant and go to Rasika.

Do not order mango lassi or run flat coke. Other then that food is not catered to your level of spiciness.

A very fancy restaurant with nice decor, near the White House in DC area. Food taste and spice level is Americanized. I took the Veg Thali and found it not too spiced and Quantity was limited and no desserts - was not too hungry so it worked. So know that the $30ish price you pay is for the decor vs authentic Indian taste or spice level or quantity. If that’s what you are after than it would be 5 stars and impeccable. But there are more authentic restaurants in Houston, NYC, LA and Chicago. If you are going there on someone else’s dime - go for it and have a truly nice time. Loved the Service. Quality.

First time here for a Bday dinner. The ambiance was pleading & classy and the food delicious. We had an elaborate meal. We devoured our crab Kora & Kasundi scallops. For our main course, each of us ordered an entrée and shared. Kerala Snapper, Shrimp Moilee, Lamb curry & Bharli Vangi (eggplant dish). In fact, the only reason we ordered the eggplant was based on the Michelin review. Except for the eggplant, the others were beyond yum. Snapper hands down was the best. Eggplant was a huge disappointment & one of the least flavorful dishes. For dessert for the 1st time, we each had our own & we enjoyed the spiced chocolate pudding, mango cheesecake, pista kulfi & gulan Jamoon. Cocktails were a disappointment, though. Overall a pleasant experience & due to the price, has to be for a special evening. Our waiter Deepak was extremely attentive, helpful & friendly.

Dinner tonight at the Bombay Club with my brother. My first time trying this restaurant. The restaurant was not too busy tonight, most patrons were sitting inside in the very well designed interior. We chose to sit outside in the nice breeze. We were seated immediately, no waiting. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Ordered the butternut squash-pea-tamarind samosas with a banana raisin sauce. One of the best samosas (and sauce) I have tasted. Entrees included chili garlic naan, bhindi do piaza (okra), bharli vangi (eggplant) and basmati rice. Naan was very nice, crispy and nice garlic chili spice. The bhindi do piaza was on the mild side, nice flavor. The bharli vangi was extremely flavorful and very unique, excellent. For desert we shared a mango cheesecake slice, very lovely and not overly sweet, just right for me. All staff and the manager were extremely attentive. Overall a very nice experience. I will return again when in DC.
