Hotel The Darcy reviews
15The front desk staff was friendly and helpful but I was harassed and harangued by a member of the catering staff and it was unacceptable. It was made the entire experience unpleasant. I won't be going back.
It’s our 3rd stay at the Darcy, from start to finish the team working here have been absolutely amazing. Victor at the front desk with an amazing smile and kind word for everyone, it was my first time dining at the Gerard street kitchen and what a joy that was, I left a review on the site for them too. I will continue to return to this hotel every time I come to DC. I want to thank you all for a special Christmas.
We stayed at this hotel on December 10th 2022. The hotel is clean and the decor is very nice. The doormen and front desk staff were very efficient and friendly. We also had delicious cocktails in the bar. Highly recommend a visit to the bar even if you don't stay the night there. Really nice atmosphere. The hotel is walking distance to the mall and monuments. Easy walk to everything downtown. We also had our dog with us who was welcomed by the staff and guests too!
We stayed 4 nights at the Darcy. The hotel is in a very nice area and only a 15 minute walk to the White House. The employees are all friendly and efficient. The rooms spacious and clean. Wonderful happy hour each evening. Plus, we had our dog and the hotel is pet friendly. Highly recommended the next time you go to DC.
Had a nice stay at this hotel. Staff overal was very friendly except one girl at reception that every time I would ask something she would look at me as if I was taking up all the space in the room…. I felt almost guilty asking her for a cab. Apart from that the rest of the staff were amazing and the hotel is perfectly located and the rooms were nice. The view from the room was very American, overlooking a beautiful small green square full of tents with homeless people. Always a reminder of the American Dream!
Located near downtown and close to all the major tourist locations. Ambient and safe atmosphere. I should appreciate the room services and the front desk for prompt assistance. I would stay here again when I visit DC. Highly recommended
Great downtown DC hotel. The staff are exceptional- very helpful, friendly, and accommodating.
Today a package from amazon was delivered to this hotel on my hacked account, while the account was hacked orders were made and sent to this hotel, I was able to recover the account but the item was delivered.it was a 100% Blackout Curtains with Sheer Ombre Curtains for Living Room.
Small room, no chair other than a desk chair, small bathroom. Bed was comfortable and staff was very nice. Excellent location walkable to many sites in DC.
We stayed 4 nights at The Darcy and would've rated it 5 Stars if it wasn't for a (literally) painful issue. Starting with the positives: Location - the hotel is very conveniently located between Logan Circle and Dupont Circle, close to many restaurants and bars. Service - the reception and concierge staff were super kind, friendly and helpful. For example, when we returned from a bike ride we were offered bottles of water by Don. Cleanliness - the rooms were cleaned and the sheets were changed daily. Room - our room had a modern design and was renovated.
That said, on the day of arrival one of us started developing very itchy bite marks on his ankles, which multiplied and became more painful during the following days. These were later confirmed as flea bites, and they only started to disappear once we came back home. We don't own pets, but realizing that the hotel is pet friendly we wrote them afterwards to let them know. They claimed that as a hotel policy, guests with pets are to be kept on the 2nd or 3rd floor, whereas stayed on the 5th floor. However, during our stay we repeatedly heard barking from an adjacent room on our floor.
We really enjoyed our stay there, it was within walking distance to all of the Washington’s tourist destinations. The hotel was clean, with good amenities and friendly staff. We’ll be back!
Great location close to downtown activities like the monuments and museums, a quick ride to the zoo as well as anywhere else in the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk associates were friendly and accomadating to all request, our room was quiet as well.
Aside from the homeless tents right across from this hotel, I think that this is in a much better location than ohers. Walking distance to lots of stores & shops. Rooms are cozy. Dogs are welcomed!
Had dinner, which was good, drinks good, good ambiance. Staffing problems, but overall good experience.
Our server was great, very friendly. The location is perfect and the room was very clean
Thank you so much
