The Howard Theatre, Washington DC

Very nice place, we had a great time on our concert, drinks are very expensive, bathrooms are clean.

A FABULOUS experience. A+ atmosphere and performance.my guest was raised a diplomats young-woman and was taken by the performance and atmosphere.

Went to see Dogstar with Keannu Reeves. The opening act was great too. Nice venue. Very organized. Parking nearby. Really enjoyed it.

First concert - well organized, good security and service staff. Love the balcony seating. Just wish we had coffee and snacks.

A wonderfully talented string quartet and a beautiful place to see a show with hard working staff. The seats were rather uncomfortable and since the audience for is flat, it is easy to get a blocked view. The procedures were rather scary.

Went on a whim because Dogstar and found a welcoming and inviting venue with excellent staff! It is the largest of the Union Stage franchise at 1200 or so standing room, but it feels so intimate. Even from the bar, you could clearly see the acts. Dogstar rocked! But the opening act stole my heart. Archer Oh, I will see you again.

Musicians were phenomenal. The Howard Theatre was the perfect sized venue. The staff was very nice and funny and helpful.

The candle light experience was amazing you can also order and pay for food through your phone.

Went to see a concert. Plenty of spaces. Canned beer is a better deal than the tapped ones.

Delaieny was amazing! Is literally the best bar tender in the city! Everyone ask for them!

Great concert venue, helpful and kind staff members from the security to the servers. Enjoyed the booth seating very much.

Beautiful venue. Great for a date night. There is a bar and cafe with light fare upstairs. Not many options for people with dietary restrictions. We ordered food before they were closing and after we paid for it they told us we had to leave and pick it up at the Tavern next door which was weird.

Not to bad. Came here to Ms Pat and she had two openers that were amazing! She, herself, was everything and then some. Only thing was the seating. Thought we were in the wrong sitting, but got the wrong band for the seats we were in

Nice atmosphere. It's fall time now. The Theatre needs to turn the heat on. It was chilly inside.

First of all the staff is ON POINT here. Thee most EFFICIENT venue I've ever been to! I'm from Pittsburgh & frequent DC for shows but have never been to this Venue. There was a long line & I was in the Venue under fifteen minutes! I couldn't find my email with the tickets, so they looked up the tickets by my name & I was in! The staff were so nice & made this experience effortless & enjoyable! Smaller Venue; with a nice modern set up; well managed & organized!

Saw The Paper Kites here last week. Great sound here, for a band that does some very quiet, subtle work. Was great to have folding chairs for seating on the main floor instead of standing for show of this tone. Balcony was closed for this show. If you need a seat with lumbar support, I don’t recommend the folding chairs. However, there are some booths with tables In the back of the main floor, and to the sides, If you can get there early and grab them. Wonderful lighting as well. Yes as other reviews have said, the beer could either be made a little cheaper, or you could give a at least a full sized pour for the 12+ dollars! (“It comes in half pints” is nice, but only for hobbits). There’s a local brewery/restaurant right next door for a pre-show drink and meal.

Update 3 Nov 23: Saw The Paper Kites with The Cactus Blossoms here again yesterday. Great venue and lighting again. Helpful and hospitable staff. Beer was only $11 - move in right direction. Folding wooden chairs help by lumbar support (with elastic strap) well enough. I posted some new photos here too…

Saw a show last night which was great but my first impression of the theater was the employee outside literally screaming at people to take out their IDs…there are so many better ways to ask for that. Also during the show two employees were talking so loudly while the guest was speaking that members of the audience were turning around during the show to look at them lol what a mess

We had the worst possible experience at the concert we attended here on 10/31. My husband and I bought tickets for the WEGZ concert and were really excited to attended. Off the bat, security was really rude and aggressive. There was a miscommunication between security and another person attending the concert which led to them trying to kick us and our friends out. They man handled all of us and we’re incredibly disrespectful. Their manager got in my face and told me to fight her and they wouldn’t give me my coat back from coat check. I literally have marks on my arms from how aggressive security was. They were kicking people out for basically no reason, and there was a crowd of people fighting outside with them. Clearly security here is on a weird power trip.

The worst theater ever been to if you have any other option to go anywhere else in your life please don't go to this place as you will be paying money to get humiliated by the security guards they treat people as if they are garbage.this will be my first and last ever visit to this joke of a place.
