This is a relatively new hotel to the Marriott portfolio. Formerly an independent, it maintains a lot of its unique spirit. The name "Ven" means friendship, so friendship bracelets were provided upon check in.

The breakfast option was fairly limited but the common space in the lobby area was modern, open, and great for working with small teams. The gym was also above normal and service was friendly. Inside the room, the bathroom was small and dated but the amenities were above normal. The room was simple, had a Scandinavian style, and was generally adequate if you're not looking for luxury.

The $28 destination fee was obscene and added no value to the stay from what I can tell and is a significant reason why I can't see rating it higher than a 3 / 5. If a hotel is going to extract such a fee from its guests, I expect a significant "destination experience, " additional amenities, or something to clearly justify it.

Stayed here last Saturday - Sunday and received great service from Eli in the lobby. He went out of the way to show us the views from the rooftop. Even showed us additional rooms as the A/C in our original room was very loud. Shout out to Eli and his manager that night (11/20)!

Charming hotel and very relaxing stay! As a Marriott Platinum member, I appreciated the kind upgrade that I didn’t have to ask for to a king room with a nice city view! The staff were pleasant. The room was quiet and clean also. The hotel decor is very cozy, provides a nice modern yet artsy feel and is relaxing. This proved a nice way to destress.

My only desire that was unmet is that there were no dairy-free or vegan breakfast options other than fruit or oatmeal as I have an allergy to milk products. I received a cup of coffee “on the house” when mentioning my allergy and inability to find anything on the menu to eat. Thankfully, there are tons of restaurants in walking distance but “breakfast in bed” or room service was not an option nor grabbing breakfast downstairs. For a Category 6 Marriott, this was my only disappointment, huge inconvenience when I wanted to stay in bed for the morning.

Had a great stay at the Ven. Very friendly staff and nice rooms. The rooftop was a great place to relax while the weather was nice. Shout out to Lyle at the front desk for being accommodating and helping us manage with a late-in-the-day flight. Also Jorge in the bar was awesome - made a great drink and was great to talk with.

Definitely not a 3/4 star hotel despite the online pictures. I am Bonvoy Ambassador Member, so I stay at Marriott hotels a lot for work. This has to be one of thee most deceiving hotels in DC. The view was nice thanks to my upgrade but I paid for the deluxe room and it was so basic. Visible mold damage to ceiling near air vent, bathroom mirror peeling, grout around the tub missing, carpet soiled and damp. $600 for a two day stay for this hotel is joke. I am shocked because the lobby and outside view of the hotel is stunning.

Our stay was magnificent and exceeded expectations. Upon check-in we were greeted by Lyle who was professional, efficient & did absolutely everything possible to make our stay pleasurable. Lyle, explained the history and meaning of the hotel & showered us with gifts of a tote bag, friendship bracelets & food & beverage voucher. Once Lyle learned we were there to celebrate a special occasion he treated us to a drink at the hotel scratch kitchen. Jorge was the bartender, his drinks were superb. Lyle was also very helpful & knowledgeable with local restaurant recommendations.
Our room was extremely clean, comfortable & enjoyable. The rooftop pool is everything. Gorgeous views, best sunlight, nice groovy music, beautiful ambience, clean swimming pool. The hotel's fitness center is fully equipped w/all the essential workout elements. They also have a quaint playroom for all ages: fuseball, ping pong, scrabble board, atari 2person video game, jenga. Hotel is also conveniently located close to Metro which is perfect because parking is very limited. We had such a pleasurable experience we plan to return as frequent visitors.

Elegant, professionally prompt service with zeal and a smile. Our charming servers hosted us like we were the only ones at the restaurant. The food was great! The drinks were on point. One of our funny, friendly and really good servers reminded us of a nostalgic Potus 44; charisma and a friendly tone was all we needed to seal the deal. What a wonderful experience at the place of "Zen.the Ven! "

Very helpful, super friendly with my children and super sweet. They kept the area very clean and had everything we needed. My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. My kids didn't want to leave!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ven on Embassey Row and I would return because of the excellent customer service giving by Lyle (Assistant Front Office Manager). He’s super nice and made sure me and my guest were comfortable.

This is hands down the most memorable experiences i' ve ever had while staying at any hotel anywhere. The lobby, restaurant and the rooms were very clean and neat. The manager, Calvin, was phenomenal. He took time to take me on a tour of the rooftop above the 9th floor from where he pointed out most of the city and surrounding areas of VA and MD. Calvin is a genuine and passionate and clearly enjoys his job. He seemed to eager to help and went over and above his duties to provide "white glove" service. I cannot thank Calvin enough for the great service and courtesy. I will most certainly return and stay at least a week because of the warmth and friendliness I experienced at the Ven. I definitely recommend the Ven at Embassy Row.

Amazingly and beautifully designed hotel. They have a great staff and very nice bar area with TVs in the lobby. We stayed for the 4th of July weekend and they provided a rooftop party for their guests only. The rooftop has great views, but with limited space. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anyone!

Calvin the Manager is awesome! We really appreciated his professionalism and efforts to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The rooftop pool area is a great place to enjoy your take-out foods and the view. The hotel breakfast was great. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to visit the DC sites, as it is only a block from DuPont Circle Metro, a variety of restaurants and a CVS grocery/convenience store. Highly recommend The Ven on Embassy Row!
