The Well Dressed Burrito, Washington DC

I’ve been a loyal customer at this restaurant for about a year or so now and at first the food and the customer service was extremely excellent and I couldn’t expect more. I actually used to rave reviews to family and friends about this restaurant and even a few people tagged along with me to this restaurant. Up until about a few months ago, this restaurant has been really pissing me off. Extremely unprofessional workers answering the phone, fluctuating business hours different from the ones posted online and then today, I traveled two hours just to come to this restaurant, which supposedly opens at noon, when I arrived other guests and I who had been waiting outside, because we were greeted with locked business doors were told that the restaurant would open up 15 minutes late because of catering staff issues, no disrespect and not to be selfish but what does that have to do with us, your loyal customers having to wait outside of your business doors in the heat because you are running behind. I believe that was unprofessional and extremely inconsiderate. I also experienced the same scenario once before where I and other guests were required to wait because the restaurant did not open up at its normal or scheduled time due to their catering situation but also seen them opening and accepting orders from certain people and not others before whatever time they said the restaurant would open…. Just frustrating.

Nice portions. Yummy tacos. This is a hole in the wall so be prepared to just do take out if the place is full.

Amazing food that’s also amazingly priced. It’s a little place in an alley and they really delivered with their food. The food and their salsa was fresh and tasted good. Will be back.

Needed a quick bite and found this spot on my lunch break. I paid $12 for a huge plate of jerk thighs over rice with beans and a salad. It was really good. I would come here again for sure!

Great food - I got a vegetarian burrito and upgraded with the enchilada sauce. One of the better veggie burritos I've ever had

The burrito was STUFFED, and they used high quality ingredients. They used cauliflower in the burrito which I never had but really elevated the tastes.

Value wise it can't be beat either.

Only con is that seating is limited and somewhat bland.but this isn't a 5 star dining experience. The food is 5 star and that's all that matters.

Got the pork enchiladas and a well dressed burrito with guacamole and sour cream. Pork enchiladas were bland and dry, and the well dressed burrito was missing the add-ons. Decent price and good salsa.

Service - Easy enough to find for our first time to D. C. However, the kid working the counter kept his back to us for over 10 minutes. No customer services skills whatsoever. Others walked and walked out after waiting for a while. Someone even tried calling them to get someone, and it rang for 2 minutes.

Food - was alright. My Steak was overcooked but tssted well.

Severely disappointed in food and service. We came in at 8: 08 PM and were promptly and rudely told that they close at 8: 45 even though it is listed as closing at 9. This place is not even really a sit down place, so not sure why they were afraid we were going to stay forever.

The food was subpar and tasted like it was from Gordon Food Service or Uncle Ben's rice. Very disappointing that so many comments said this was the best Mexican food in DC.

We ordered our food online and scheduled delivery. It was delivered ON TIME! The food was amazing everything was fresh and prepared well. The sauces were on point. My favorite was the birria tacos.

Only reason they get two stars is the amazing food. Lost our order, during a non-peak time (Tuesday, 12: 57pm, no line to order and maybe 7 folks in the lobby), and instead of prioritizing it once they realized the issue (which I identified by the cook telling front of house “I didn’t see that one” when they showed her the ticket) they just added it to the queue (people who ordered after me got theirs before mine). That’s not how you correct an innocent mistake. Also don’t give the customer attitude when you as a restaurant mess up, I’m not a bad human or customer for being impatient that it took 25 minutes to get a burrito and enchilada when food turn is usually 5-8min. Also forgot my beans and sour cream.

Just went yesterday for the first time. The food was delicious. My partner had the pork chimichanga and loved it. I had the lomo saltado and it was fantastic. I only rated 4 stars because I did not receive all of my meal. The menu listed the lomo saltado as having onions and peppers mixed in with the steak, and rice on the side. My plate had no onions, peppers, or rice. Admittedly I was very hungry and just ate it and I could have gone up to the counter, but did not. Still, kind of sucks that it was missing 3 of the main parts of the dish.

Prices, food, and service were all great and I highly recommend this alley burrito spot.

I have a love hate relationship with Well dressed Burrito. The food is unrivaled and I love it. The seating is uncomfortable at best and I hate it.

One of the best veggie burritos I have had in DC. It had zucchini, squash, cauliflower, green peppers, olives, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, guacamole, cheese, rice and beans - all cooked to perfection. Ordering was easy, and my to go order took about 10 minutes in and out. If I had to suggest an improvement to an already awesome burrito, I would add pico de gallo or a medium corn salsa, and more cheese.
It's less than a 5 minutes drive from the White House in a nice location.

What an incredible little gem near DuPont Circle and Farragut North! This restaurant is quaint and unassuming, but the food was just spectacular. The customer service was great too. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly — I got steak, and the meat quality was excellent. Moreover, the prices were unbelievable for DC! I paid $12 for a massive steak bowl and even had leftovers.

I ate here with a friend when we were in the DuPont area this past weekend. It was a little confusing when we were trying to find the place at first because it's tucked away in a back alley. I thought it looked kind of sketchy, but we decided to give the place a try. It's a very casual and small place. I ordered the chicken burrito bowl, chips and salsa and a brownie. Everything was exceptionally good, but I wasn't too fond of the brownie because it was too sweet for my liking. The person who took our order didn't greet us when we walked up to order, which I thought was kind of rude. But anyways, I enjoyed my burrito bowl and it satisfied my hunger.

If you're ever in the mood for a chimichanga, I promise you, you shall not be disappointed. This place has amazing chimichangas

About 4 months ago, this place was really on point. I recommended it to everyone. I came here at least twice a week. Now it's once a month. (Well after today, it might be once every 6 months)

My recommendation is now, go any other time than lunch. When they make your order correctly, the food is really great. (I've had bad experience with their buffalo chicken burrito 4 times, but it looks like they removed it all together.) Quesadillas wonderful. Nachos? GREAT. Regular burrito? FANTASTIC!

Which leads me to customer service. I understand lunch being busy, having worked in food service. However, part of customer service is still greeting people, especially if you have a section specifically for picking up online orders behind your counter. I shouldn't have to wait/look around like a lost puppy dog for someone to even just say, "Hello, give me one second! " Say something.
