Union Market reviews
17 2 stars because of the allowance of the business Dan Dan Boy -
I recently had the unfortunate experience of trying the Mapo Tofu at Dan Dan Boy, and it was nothing short of a NIGHTMARE. About halfway through the dish I discovered there was blue mold on the tofu. Later that day I was violently struck with food poisoning! It's appalling that a restaurant could serve a dish in such a condition, putting the health of its customers at significant risk.
This was an unexpected gem in DC. There were dozens of different places and types of food to choose from and a few shops here and there to get in some shopping as well. I had an amazing omelet from Egg Yaki and highly recommend them.
I recently visited this spot for a quick breakfast on the go. While the convenience is appreciated, the breakfast sandwich prices seemed a bit steep, ranging from $11-$13. However, they offer options for lunch and dinner as well. Overall, it’s a convenient choice if you’re looking for a swift meal.
You can get any cuisine at any time. There's an outdoor space fire families and dogs, only service animals inside. Breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner drinks all here. It has a good variety of ethnic foods represented. A nice hang out place. There are higher end restaurants and shops surrounding the place if you want something else
Always a fun weekend adventure w/ so many cultural dishes to experience. On a nice day, don't forget to enjoy the rooftop
Excellent little market full of mouthwatering food! It was like all the best and most diverse restaurants in my boring city shoved into one place! Reminded me a lot of the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia.
Such a heaven for food lovers.so many options and made me want to try them all. Great place!
Similar to Chelsea market in NYC and Reading terminal market in Philly but with more room to walk around and higher end selection. Lots of sustainable, locally sourced food. Choices include Korean, handmade pasta, exotic juices - all nicely presented and pricey. Nice vibes.
Wife range of very tasty food. No traditional fast food places. Pizza, Lebanese, sushi, desserts, coffee, etc.
Great place for locals and tourists. Lots of shops and just about anything you could imagine.
Love stopping by here when in town lots of different options for food/drinks. Love the outdoor seating options. Good options for vegans/vegetarians.
Not large, but a nice selection of independent retail & food vendors. Lots of places to sit & enjoy your food both inside & out. It's neighborhood is filled with restaurants & shops. & has reasonable Metro accessability.
We love stopping by Union Market. It’s perfect because we can stop in and try so many different types of food. We all get something different and share. It’s in a great location and so many options. There are also several shops where you can find unique gifts.
Union Market is the epitome of a food hall done right!
The perimeter walkway makes it easier to do a lap and see most of the food stalls and shops. You have so many choices of different kinds of foods, you truly won’t ever get tired of that place; there’s always something new for you to try.
Recommended market for culinary products but not for finding express food. The area is nice and everything seems to be of quality.
Just arrived in DC and almost every shop has a closed sign. Unable to try what I wanted. Very disappointing.
So good! The limeade and caramelized pork bahn mi from Banana Blossom were superb. The dan dan noodles from Chinese Street were incredible. Highly recommend.
