United States Botanic Garden reviews
12Love this place any time of the year. Definitely recommend a visit if you haven't already.
I love this place and go often: small but fascinating, for the content and the Victorian architecture. An under-appreciated jewel that is a much better use of your time than the nearby Indian Museum. I don't quite know why it works as well as it does but it does. Strongly recommended.
Not the most spectacular botanical garden you will see, but certainly worth a visit if you like plants. As part of the Smithsonian It's also free!
Very cool garden demonstrating several climates. The rainforest with a small river is very tranquil.
It is a spectacular place! Everything is very nice and very educational, I recommend it to everyone
Interesting place to visit - lots of plants to see and learn about. We went just afer Christmas while they were still decorated for the holidays and had displays of miniature versions of various buildings and monuments that are in DC. They also had a display of plant and animal artwork mixed in with their model train display.
Went for the holiday train display. Really bummed this was moved outside as it gets incredibly crowded and it's hard to see the display. In spite of that, still one of the best holiday displays in DC.
The botanic gardens itself is a gorgeous little place to visit.
I have the wonderfull time to visit the garden. There is a free parking lot front of capitalpal but only for weekend
I love visiting botanical gardens and this one did not disappoint during our trip to Washington, D. C. We unfortunately visited in the rain and so did not walk their outdoor gardens, but all of their indoor gardens were so tranquil and beautiful. We went when their corpse flower was in bloom which was cool to see. Loved the orchid room.
Marvellous botanical garden.
We visited in January, the greenhouses are wonderful. Each greenhouse recreates the flora of a biotope (Jurassic plants, tropical plants, Mediterranean plants). My favorite one was the room of orchids.
The entrance is free, the landmark is beautiful, the atmosphere is great for everyone (whether you come in family, with your loved one, with friends or by yourself). I definitely recommend strolling through these beautiful gardens, we had a magical moment. Very peaceful and joyful.
Good attraction. Visited in January during winter. While all the outdoor sites are closed, they have plenty of indoor stores. Not as great as singapore rainforest dome, flower dome etc. But very decent. And it's free!
The most beautiful gardens I've been to so far! They had an adorable Christmas train special as well, I know it's the Smithsonian but I still can't believe it's free. I highly recommend a visit at any time of the year. Very revisitable at least once or twice with their new exhibits or specials
