United States National Arboretum reviews
18It was so pleasant! A nice break from pandemic life. I highly recommend the Asian Collection.
A breath of fresh air in the city. Lots of paths to take to explore the area. Capital columns area is very interesting. Exquisite bonsai collection. Recently added koi in the pools are a delight to watch
Great day trip with the dogs! Very close to Other Half Brewery so that was convenient. Parking was easy.
Awesome gardens and plant collections. Chili pepper fest in the herb garden was excellent!
Good place. Cannot take photos with a body, but can enjoy and take photos of beautiful nature
Consistently marvelous meals. Vy, behind the bar, is world class ìn every way. Say hi for me!
A WONDERFUL place to roam and explore any season. Tons of cool plants scenic views, and great trees to see.
Great place to visit every season, nice trails and lots of info about the trees/types of trees, some better direction signs all over would be a great addition.
Serene park with beautiful collections of various trees and a bald eagle nest you can spy on. Enjoyed my visit very much!
Get ready to walk and hike for hours and hours. I enjoyed the Bonsai Museum, the Asian Collection, and National Capitol Columns! The Tropical Conservatory was closed when we went (mid to late Oct 2021). The map labels the roads but IRL there werent a lot of street markers so it is easy to get lost if you're not paying attention to the forks in the road. Bring water to stay hydrated! There are also plenty of parking lots spread out throughout the National Arboretum.
Great Fall colors are still there, but it was a gray day. Hopefully I will get back later in the week on a sunny day.
I love coming to the Arboretum to walk the grounds, have picnics, and hang out with friends in nature. This spot is a wonderful secluded area from the hustle and bustle of DC and I have returned several times during different seasons. It's wonderful to walk the flowers bloom in spring, bask in the sun in the summer, and watch the leaves turn in the fall. A great hiking spot too with lots of hidden gem features!
Must go! The place looks weird when you first go in but as you go deeper and deeper it just becomes more and more beautiful. Amazing routes which they call collections, must visit!
The arboretum has a world-class Bonsai exhibit, and the hillside of azaleas in the spring is breathtaking
Fantastic peaceful park in DC with stunning views, especially in fall colors and many trees, paths, roads.
People from Europe don't figure out enough how amazing Washington DC is.
They only focus on New York, LA, Florida but DC offers a lot of possibilities to visit and free.
That arboretum worthy, for local people and foreigners in visit: not necessary to go to Blandy experimental arboretum of Virginia or to WV to see diversity and wonderful fall colors.
Also an opened place free and large to sit and eat picnic.
To make benefit, need of 2 or 3 hours, closed around 5pm. Special photographies need to be approved with permit.
A sprawling series of gardens. Fun for a picnic date, long walk or bike ride as well as taking the kids out.
Plenty of free parking space spreading out of the park with handicap access. There are various walking trails with plants from ranges of habitats in the park. It's very relaxing and refreshing by simply trolling around the park. Many gorgeous gardens with spotlight exhibitions like Bonsai which is one of its kind. The picnic areas and well maintained lawn are perfect spots for taking in the peaceful and quite time on a busy day. The National Capital columns display is attractive and historical. This one-day trip is perfect for all families.
