I was disappointed with my experience. There was no welcome or introduction greeting even though I was a new client and have never been to V Wax Studio before. Their website states they are a boutique waxing place and it’s quite small, so I expected some level of service but there was none. I then make my way into the room for my Brazilian wax appointment. The waxing lady took a total of 13 MIN for my BRAZILIAN WAX. I have never had a wax that fast, I’m still in shock. I then asked if I could add on one more service and she tells me no, because they are fully booked for the rest of the day. That’s when I realized she went fast on purpose. My appointment was for 11: 30am but she ran late with another client so my appointment didn’t start until 11: 45am. It truly felt like my time wasn’t valuable because if I was given a 30min block for a Brazilian (which is what is advertised online) then I should have had an extra 18 minutes. The other service I asked for is advertised as 15 min on their website. It was a pretty lackluster experience both in service and wax. In less than a week the hair is already growing back.

I moved to DC from another state, and had to try a few different places to find the right waxing place for me. This could be a great waxing place for someone else (the studio was clean and had a nice vibe, the waxer was friendly and did a good job!) but didn't quite work out for me (I wax regularly but less often than the average woman, basically every 2.5 or 3 months. They explained kindly that they normally don't trim, so my understanding was that waxing every 3 months wouldn't work here. It was also a little pricey, but understandable based on the location). I did end up finding a good fit for me near Mt Vernon, so all is well!
