We, The Pizza, Washington DC

Visiting DC a couple weeks ago, we had pizza delivered and the pizza was fantastic but the brownie was absolutely life changing! I will never forget the dense, rich, fudgy, melt-in-my-mouth sensation. Bravo!

My fav pizza in DC! Great place to hang out and always a good variety of pizza. Don't forget to tell the home made sodas!

This isn't a pretentious gourmet pizza shop, with frou-frou combinations, it's primarily a by-the-slice NYC style pizza restaurant.and is rated as such. We came here for lunch - service was prompt and the NYC-style pizza by the slice was better than comparable by-the-slice restaurants. We also had side salads as an accompaniment. - they were fresh, tasty and well made. Prices were comparable to other DC pizza restaurants. We'll go out of our way to return here during the remainder of our vacation.

Let me say, We The Pizza was previously my go-to. However, I had a terrible experience with them and will reassess whether I find a new store moving forward. On Sunday, 12/26, I placed an order from WTP at 4: 30 pm. I knew, given the holiday weekend, that the order would take longer than normal and was perfectly content to wait the 87 minutes that was estimated, and waited for my 6: 05 pm delivery time. 6: 05 came and went with no change in delivery estimate. The website tracking info did not change; my order was being worked on, 6: 05 pm still estimated even though it was past that time. I called the store to talk to someone for an update, but no luck. The store phone recording told me to dial (1) for new order, (2) to indicate I was outside and ready for my pickup, or (3) to check-in on existing order. I tried all 3 options multiple times but nothing worked. Nobody answered therefore no update whatsoever. I replied to the initial order / receipt email as well but did not receive a response. By 7 pm the website closed online ordering, however my order status still said in progress. At this point I knew my order wasn't coming but I expected a call or email, but I received nothing. I checked the Crystal City WTP website and saw I could get an order from them with delivery estimate under 1 hour.but I couldn't talk to a single person at Capitol Hill. By 10 pm when the store closed, my order still said in progress and 6: 05 delivery. I have still not received a single communication from WTP about my order a day later. I can understand having a busy night and not being able to fulfill every order, however I do not understand turning off your phones and blocking all lines of communication with your customers. A simple email indicating that the shop was overloaded and could not fulfill orders along with confirmation of refund would have sufficed, however not a peep. I know another person had the same issue, because there was another review online last night indicating the same issues, however that review has since been deleted. Certainly disappointing to know that when WTP gets busy you might as well expect your order cancelled without your knowledge.

Delivery driver was about to not say anything about giving me the wrong drink it was in a double bag to hide it I noticed said hi I didn’t order a Diet Coke I ordered a Coke Zero he relied to bad that’s all we got

I ordered delivery (through GrubHub), and never got a delivery notification. GrubHub support called the restaurant to eventually find the meal was left at my door, with no text/call/notification. I can't lay this entirely at the restaurant's feet, because I don't know joe the delivery driver wad employed by.

However when I began wearing my meal, I recognized that my chicken wings were literally covered in hair. The hair appeared to have been integral to the breading, literally fried onto the surface of the chicken, not just included in the sauce.

New York style, New York speed and variety, New York prices — but not New York quality.

Super pizza, not a fan of the "covid surcharge" if you feel the need to raise the prices, do so on the menu. Seems kind of political to make it an extra charge (at first glance it appears to be a government tax, which it's not).

This was actually a bucket list item for me. Years ago I saw them advertised in a DC travel book, so I added them to my list of places I'd like to visit. Well I'm sad to say I was so disappointed. My soda was delicious. I had a orange Creamsicle and it was so yummy. Our pizza came out beautiful but the bottom was literally black. It's on my list of never return unfortunately. Service was meh. Restaurant was clean. Bathrooms were clean. Neat atmosphere as well.

Atmosphere was great, pizza was good (recommend the supreme). But our check out girl seemed disinterested in serving us or the speaker right by the register kept her from getting our order 100%.

Definitely saw a roach on the counter just got my money and left nope never shins hard pass! When they first opened they were clean now nope

Best pizza in the capitol area by far. Sure, you can buy a whole pie, but the best experience is two (maybe three) slices from the ready made pizzas.

Really good pizza. I got it delivered through GrubHub which was fine, but it was a *tad* late. To be fair I didn't really mind the wait and it was worth it since the pizza was pretty good

Best pizza Ive had in a long time! The matcha lemonade was incredible too! The restaurant was very clean and the staff were nice too.

This is one of my all time favorite pizza joints who can say they don't like a nice big slice of pizza, right. Fresh out of the oven.
But, be kind while you stare at the choices, all the while becoming more undecided. If this is you, don't lie.just let me past. I already had my mind made when someone said

Omg this place literally made me bust i swear to god.the pizza is the best pizza i’ve ever had in my life the bacon me crazy idk what sauce they had drizzled on top but oml i swear.i was the first one in my group to get the pizza had like two people try it then they got like 15 more customers.i would definitely eat this for the rest of my life if i could.everyone has to try this pizza or they haven’t lived i wish i didn’t live so far away so i could come back. 1000000/10 would recommend to anyone that’s wants some pizza or even if you don’t want it don’t care you NEED to eat this pizza.

Pizza is delicious. Delivery is horrible. My pizza was delivered cold and like the photo below. I only live one block from the store but it took delivery person 30 minutes to deliver. Deliver person had his pants down to his knees. When dealing w the public your employees should look professional. Owner called me to advise me that the manager would make it right. I never heard from the manager. ‍️. Just like the manager wouldn’t answer the phone the night the pizza was delivered like in the photo.
